Archos 404 Cam

To all

The problem that I am having is, that I have got a Archos 404 cam, with a docking station, I would like to connect a hard drive to this, which I can do, the docking station only takes / recognizes hard drive that are fat32 format, e.g. it will take my pen drive. I have upgraded my laptop and formatted the 40gb hard drive from my laptop, to be 32gb Fat32, and 6/7gb empty. The hard drive can be used on my windows xp home machine but the Archos does not recognize it, does it have to be changed e.g master / slave or cable select.

Many Thanks

Georgie

I suspect it's because the HD from your laptop required a power supply. The 404 does not provide one.

I could be wrong, but is seems like a logical explanation ....

Does it spin up, but is just not recognised?
