I'm disgusted with Simon Cowell and his quick flying out to Barbados
I've said so in a few threads now...so started one of my own to say how I'm disgusted at his unprofessionalism of not being there the very first week of the XF winner.
But now that there is a conspiracy going on and two young men are caught up in it.....................where is he? Barbados No doubt being advised by the hour and the minute......not of the scandal....but the shares I really think he has become more despicable as the years go by and he has lost all sight of what the show is all about. His manipulations earlier on the show made me sick. He thinks he's untouchable....and he's right in terms of his bank balance.....but in terms of public credibility, I think he's a disgrace to himself and has lost sight of his own vision.

Well to be fair to him he didn`t know there was going to be all the furore of the voting (he was probably on his private jet on Sunday) Even if he had mentored Leon, he would have still disappeared....................he did with Steve Brookstein - disappeared to LA to do AI

Why the hell does he just think it's right to fly off at any time after the winner is announced? Surely you'd think he'd at least delay his trip for one flippin week.....is that so hard to do? |

Whoever the winner was, it wouldn't have hurt him (whether he had flu or not) to wait for a few days.
As it is .. it makes him look bad, and sadly makes him look as though he is flying away as quickly as he can from a bit of a s*$iTFu^ ... |

I don't come on here often now, and apologies for that, but I'm at a hotel, on my laptop, in rehearsals for Saturday night's Christmas On Broadway at the O2 theatre, which I know a lot from here are going to, even though not many post now.
Stephen Gateley, Marti Webb & Maria Friedman as well as a great supporting cast are all on good voice. My reason for posting is purely to support my friend, Simon. The X Factor I was in, was the first, over 3 years ago, but the question I get asked daily is.........What's Simon really like? He's lovely. One of the funniest men.......genuinely, down to earth, (adult humour) but hilarious, that I've ever met. Myself and VWS were lucky enough to spend Xmas 2004 in Barbados with him and his family. I loved him even more, as through his amazing girlfriend Terri, his mum, his brother and family, friends, I got to know him even more and he is a diamond. I was in a film previously to XF, with Terri, 24 Hour Party People, and I love her. I'm also good friends with Sinitta and Jackie. His previous girlfriends. They still love him.....says a lot. All the best to all of you. Have a great 2008. There really is something for everyone, if you look for it, and have the opportunity, then take it. xxx Sorry for the early message, but contrary to reports, I get up early most days for work, sometimes to give my son a lift to work, or my daughter a lift to university, or to travel for a gig, and always to walk my cavailer king charles spaniels' Love Leona, she's a megastar, as is Shayne from my Manchester. Leon has the voice, I hope that he gains in confidence now that he's won. Rhydian is amazing too. Loved his Phantom, and Pink songs. I also love Westlife, and I'm not on Simon's payroll, it's just that Shane & Mark have amazing voices andsome of their songs are mega. Girls Aloud are the best girl pop group ever. In my humble opinion, Nadine has one of the best voices ever, and most of the others have brilliant voices, but also look the part. My favourite female is Amy Just as I loved Marvin in the boys, she's my favourite girl. MERRY XMAS TO YOU ALL & HAVE A FABULOUS 2008 Ro, xxx |

I fail to see why Simon should care to be honest. He has his Christmas number 1 and as long as Leon listens to his advice, he will have a career. Leon is merely one of the acts that Simon's record label has signed up thanks to him recieving the most votes on a reality TV program. Simon isn't personally mentoring him or managing him and he has to have a holiday before he starts AI. I have no feelings either way about Simon but I am yet to read any genuine bad press about him as far as friends etc goes. The only bad press I ever read is when Steve Brookstein puts his tuppence worth in and that smacks of sour grapes.

I was thinking much the same as Minxy. To be honest the record is out and selling, Leon will be doing the usual round of interviews, promotions etc. and to be honest I don't really think it needs Simon to be around to hold his hand. And it's not as if he has vanished - he is still contactable via the many many methods we have and could be home in a few hours if things started to go pear shaped.
There is a whole machine of people etc. to handle all this, the real work will begin after Xmas with getting the album prepared and recorded. |

My view is that Simon has the right to do as he pleases after the show. It's his normal routine so why should he not stick to it?
I'm also very pleased he has not gotten involved in this, because all it would do is lend credence to some of the BS being reported at the moment. |

Morning JWT
![]() I don't think we know what support mechanisms Simon may or may not have in place. I don't think he is that hands on anyway. I think it is best that he is out of the scene as anything he would say would be forensically disected and analysed and would just stoke the fire. Merry Christmas Rowetta. Hope you are going strong!! |

Simon is as entitled as the next person to a holiday, and after all the work involved in X Factor, he probably needs one. Leon hasn't been abandoned - he has a manager to look after him. I'm sure Simon is in touch with the ongoing controversy (frankly, he can offer support to both Leon and Rhydian as easily from Barbados as he could if he were in London and they were in their home towns), but given that Ofcom are now investigating, it's probably best that he reserves public comment until they announce their findings. |

im sure he would argue he has a whole team of people..BUT it does goto show what value hes putting on the winner.
i know this time of year he always goes off somewhere but whoever would have won Xfactor im sure they would feel like a fish out of water. imo thats part of the problem Xfactor to a lot of the people in charge has become nothing more than a means for xmas no1,if the artist happens to carry on after xmas all well n good. |

Simon employs people to do the day to day stuff for Syco and then there is ITV - Talkback who could make things clear, but they have chosen to be economical with there press releases.

I fail to see why Leon needs Simon to hold his hand. All the PA's have been arranged for people to meet Leon not Simon Cowell. What Leon needs is someone to get him to and from the various places he has to be, possibly driving hm. He needs someone who knows how to get him through crowds & in and out of back doors where necessary and that sort of thing isn't Simon's job. Leon will almost certainly have an experienced tour manager with him.
