As for sausage sarnies - it has to be good quality sausages from the butchers, but cheap soft white bread seems to work best. And brown sauce. It has to be brown! Yuk yuk yukkyty - I hate the stuff. |

Redwood's Lincolnshire style veggie/vegan sausages, with crispy lettuce and sweet chilli sauce, in a crusty petit pain. Or two or three. Mm-mmmmmm!

That's the sad thing about this country (England). Lots of beautiful old buildings like hospitals and asylums - gorgeous examples of Victorian gothic architecture - are being brought up by property developers and ripped down to build identikit housing estates.
![]() I'm not too sure about curry sauce ... a nice ketchup is good. @Snowfairy - i love sweet chilli sauce with eggs. That makes a great breakfast - french toast and sweet chilli sauce. |

They used to make some delicious ones in the my old workplace cafeteria. I put on an extra stone because I used to have them every day!!

I am getting really hungry reading this! This isa really relevant thread for me as am planning on having sausage sarnies for breakfast christmas day. My perfect sausage sarnie is to have really fat traditional pork sausages fried on thick white bread and real butter with a cup of tea. Yum!

2.5 cheap sausages, cut lenghways through the centre. I like good quality sausages but you can't beat the common muck for a sarnie!
2 Slices of thick white bread, thinly spread with lurpack butter. Absolutely no sauce... yuk. |

Sausage & Egg mcmuffin. I don't really buy them anymore cause they're so easy to make at home.
English Muffin, Sausage Meat Burger (nicely spiced), processed Cheese slice & a fried egg. I can and have literally eaten them all day mmm! |

Good quality white bread is a given
Sausages from a butchers in Ludlow that the 'rents use regularly cooked on my George Foreman for about 10 minutes then cut down the middle and the inside seared just so the flesh begins to got a little crispy. Either ketchup or a mild chunky salsa. If its ketchup then I like to put a tiny smidgen of english mustard underneath. If I have a fried egg then I leave the mustard off. Got me really hungry now |
