....A little Lurpak or real butter.

...
Lurpak IS real butter!

Its just a popular brand of 'butter'

The marketing board issue a very specific definition of "butter" and anything else that doesn't comply has to be called "margarine"

In fact I think Lurpak Spreadable includes oils to make it 'spreadable' and I think this has to called margarine

NO. NO BUTTER.

but you are right.
sausage = mustard and red sauce
bacon = brown sauce.
Plain daft. A mustard and tomato ketchup combo is clearly a hotdog/bun adornment.

(I only eat veggie hotdogs, though)

Your Perfect Sausage Sandwich should entail two buttered slices of bread, the requisite number of sausages cut in half and placed on one slice of bread whilst the other slice is coated with orange marmalade and the two slices are put together. For those who are less adventurous, sweet pickle or chutney can be substituted for the marmalade.

In terms of shop-bought sausage sarnies, I have recently discovered that the little hot food counters inside some M&S branches do a really good one. Yum!

square slice sausage in a roll with some cheese on top
