Your perfect egg sarnie?
shackfan

Having read the sausage one I thought i'd better do this one as that is what ive been having for breakfast the last week or so!!
large knob of butter in frying pan, let it melt then turn the heat down.
Crack open the egg, and when the white is still a bit runny turn it over for about 30 seconds.
Get 2 slices of thick white bread ( been trying the Kinsmill toastie) and butter them.
Put egg in while the yellow is still runny.
Eat and enjoy them wipe your face as there is bound to be some yolk on it!
YUMMY!

Question: how are you supposed to turn the egg over whilst it's still runny without the yolk openign and spilling everywhere?

Flip the white bit over the top of the yolk. I don't actually turn it over. The flipped white bit cooks the yolk.

It should have no egg in it for a start off.

2 large slices of granary bread
2 medium free range eggs
Butter
Sea salt and black pepper

Boil eggs for 6 mins 30 secs exactly, toast bread then butter it, slice eggs on the toast (so the toast catches the yolk), sprinkle with a little salt and black pepper, place other slice of toast on top, cut in half then eat.

It's easy, although it is more usual to baste the egg with the oil for a few seconds until it whites over a bit, then you have the perfect fried egg, sunny side up.

Egg mayo is a lovely sandwich. And after reading this thread about egg sandwiches, and before that sausage sandwiches, there is the divine heaven of a sausage and egg sandwich, or even better, a black pudding and egg sandwich. Yummy!
