On the subject of Maths, I ridiculed my Maths teacher saying I would never need to know what a hypotenuse was. Then I chose the trade of a survey technician in the army and was quite relieved to know what the hell they were on about.

I agree matt, I only joined last month and love reading the posts on this forum, Lala keep posting, love reading them and good luck with your exam results.

Look I don't know or care who this Lala person is and I've got no beef with him/her. I've not noticed one person who's been doing it and I'm not singling anyone out but frankly I think that there are too many of these daft attention seeking threads.

I wouldn't want the forum to be overmoderated like Channel 4 but I think it would benefit from some closer moderation. For example do we really need 10 threads on the same subject? ie;' Tania is a man' etc. Why don't people simply post in the same thread? Or a moderator could combine those loose threads together so that we don't find the forum filling up with double posted subjects.

As I mentioned, my pet hate is threads that start off 'HEY QUICK READ THIS ABOUT BB' but when you open it you get 'oh nothing'. That's the sort of thread that wastes everyones time and should be deleted IMHO. If you look at the number of views threads like that get compared to the number of replies you'll see that you'll get 4000 views or something but only a few replies. I would suggest that many of the people who viewed the thread without posted were as irritated as I was.

Fine. I am aware and I do agree with the duplication of threads issue. I find that lala (she) seems to interject with a nicely light and humerous post or thread just when things seem to be getting too serious. It's grand. I have spotted a few people, especially a certain new person who, since being on for a week, is opening two or three threads with the same feckin name! I hit the alert button, state the reason, and wait to see what happens.

To me, it's seems that you are implying that the moderators aren't doing their job well enough. They scan the forum when they have the time as they are very busy people with their own lives to lead. That is what the Alert button is for.....

There's nothing much to talk about with the actual show - I switched off the highlights last night they were so tedious - so why not post a joke thread for some amusement. The soul went out of the show with Jon and Fed's double departure, the biggest own-goal in the history of reality shows!

With on average 14 pages of threads posted every day, I think Neil and Beth do a great job. Don't forget, all their work is voluntary, they get no payment. Beth,in particular has a very young baby and two other children,
I dont know how she manages it!

why do people assume that because someone disagrees with them they are trying to stop them posting?. and isnt it a bit hypocritical to say other posters shouldnt post stuff, when you say you'll post what you want!!.
