The current betting odds for the final are:
Alesha 1 to 3 ( or 3 to 1 on)
MattD 2 to 1 against.

So the bookies and the people who gamble on it must think Alesha is a certainty.
With FIVE dances I'm sure she is the winner as little Matt
will almost surely forget the routine for at least one of the dances.

All the bookies I have seen have Alesha as fav, with very good odds.

Glad I put my money on her at the very start, when she was 9-1. Then again I also have Matt at 8-1 too, so I'm a winner on saturday either way!

They all had Rhydian as favourite as well...and the twins for Big Bro.

At the end of the day, bookies odds go out of the window on the night and it just comes down to the dancing. As an Alesha fan, I really hope she wins, but I'm definitely not thinking it's a dead cert. If he dances well, Matt's good enough to also have a real shot at the title IMO.

But the "X factor" may have won. The reason it's called "X", after all, is that it's not clear exactly what it is. It's not talent, or not talent alone, and for all we know Leon has plenty of talent, but just hasn't developed or trained it as much as Rhydian has.

It's also not clear Alesha has more dance talent than Matt. Her main advanatge is that she "performs" the dances better and has more confidence.

Don't pay attention to the odds! Before last week's show, Rhydian was 1 - 4 and Leon was 9 - 1 - and Leon won by a large margin!

Continuing the theme of what everyone else is saying on here, it doesn't matter what the bookies say, we can't relax and think that our favourite will just win like that. We have to vote!!!! I've voted several times for alesha today to make sure my votes get in before tomorrow just in case there is a phone meltdown ala Xfactor.

I was watching ITT last night, and re-watching the two amazing routines that Matt and Flavia are doing in the final (AS and salsa). I think Flavia's choreography is so smart that when it comes off it really looks great, so they are potentially very dangerous because when they're good they're very good. I'm fairly impartial - though I think I'd prefer to see Alesha win - but I suspect it's probably closer than the bookies think.

I have to agree that Flavia's choreo is amazing! Let's just hope Matt manages to remember it all this week, and I really mean that, because tomorrow could potentially be the best final yet IMHO!

Difference between SCD & X-Factor is lines for SCD open all week & X-Factor on the night so the right performance has much more impact on the voting. Also third place fans' fave kicked out on night so more unpredictability as to where those votes go. Alesha has it nailed.
