I know, everyone on here thinks that prior dancing experience doesn't matter, and to some extent i agree BUT

when Alesha constantly says she has never had the opportunity to dance it goes write through me; she has been a a succesful girlband and on occasions been hired as a dancer in music videos.
For me that really does equal a huge amount of dance experience, and huge advantage on other contestants

I'm a Matt supporter, but can we please not start a thread like that. You are entitled to your opinion, but there have been rather a lot of threads on that topic on here.

Have you actually seen her dance when she was in the band? It is nothing compared what she is doing now, and Matt has also had some experiance of dancing as well.

yes but the dancing she did was hip hop and she was not formerly trained othen than an odd class on a saturday when she was 18 and as she said that was only for short time. I dont have a problem with it or the fact Matt and Letitia went to Sylvia Young's or Gethin was a folk dancer it goes on

It's the kind of dancing that you'd do in a club. She's hardly dancing a waltz or a quickstep in a rap video, is she?

she's never had the chance to do ballroom and latin and thats a bit different to dancing in a music video and as much as i love matt aswell he has had dance experience he went to stage school where he's bound to of had dance training

I can drive a car.....but it does`t mean I could beat Lewis Hamilton in a race.There is a difference between dancing in a pop video and the skill level required for SCD.This topic has been discussed to death in every series of SCD.

They read out excerpts from his ballet and jazz school reports earlier in the series, so I think it's a fair assumption!

This topic has really been done to death - I think both the finalists have experiences that will have helped them, but neither IMO has a massive advantage over the other.

matt attended Boden Studios (Enfield/Barnet) School of Acting Singing and Dancing, and then Sylvia Young Theatre School. so he has had experience to!

Definitely IMO - I hope that both of them dance to their absolute best tomorrow, if they do it will be absolutely fabulous.

Alesha herself would admit that what she did in the band wasn't dancing in the formal sense. I've seen several youtube download of her in the band 'dancing', and this was mainly botty winding, like most girls do in nightclubs. All you need is a sense of rythym and anyone can 'dance'. However, that sort of 'dance' hardly compares to formal ballroom and latin dancing. The OP is rehashing rubbish imo.
