this come up every year tho doesnt it? you get a "band member or a singer" in SCD and there is always the "its not right thread they have had dance experience" but ballroom and latin are totally different to any kind of dance training you get being a singer or in a band so I dont really see a problem (or maybe that is just me)

Can we just enjoy the final pls?

For me that really does equal a huge amount of dance experience, and huge advantage on other contestants”

well they always said the pen is mightier than the sword.

Anyway bopping away to Duran Duran or whoever is a heck of lot less disciplined than a full blown Waltz or Argentine Tango, if anything it could be said she learnt bad habits by lazy dancing for whoever it was.

Sorry but I can't help but associate 'It's so unfair!' with bunched fists and stamping feet

Matt had dancing lessons at stage school, even if he skipped some of them. You can tell by the way he uses his hands. It takes training to do that.

It isn't at all unfair - get a grip!

please don't start these yawningly repetitive threads - we are almost upon the much-awaited Final of SCD, where both finalists REALLY want it to be a celebration.

And the majority of us would also like that too.

so.......for once...........

just CUT the negative threads and give it a rest.”

It's easier to think that way, though, if your favourite's likely to win. But, though a moratorium on all negativity would be nice, it's unlikely to happen. In the X Factor forum, even when people thought Rhydian (who was the most popular) would win, negative posts didn't stop; nor have they since -- and it's not like the negatives here are only about Alesha!

Anyway, I think the performing experience that goes with being in a group does help, and has helped Emma, Mel B, and laesha; but then other people (such as the athletes) have other advantages.
