Great interview, seems a lovely guy.
Interesting that he said that Simon was disappointed he didn't win. |

![]() He was very upbeat and happy, He's going to spend Xmas day with his parents in Wales then is going on holiday to Mexico for two weeks and may play a bit of golf. Simon is a really nice guy off screen and has supported him and helped him throughout the competition, he spoke to him on the phone from Barbados a couple of days ago. He's looking forward to doing the x-factor tour, will be working on album and then his own solo tour. They talked about his hairstyle, he said he was quite happy with it but his Grandmother doesn't like it ... he says it's part of him now and it's just entertaiment. |

![]() However Rhydian's rendition of Hark the Herald Angels was superb. It was so impressive how he just took the microphone and went straight into it especially with the ridiculous snow machine blowing. |

Loved the interview. Rhydian's a lovely speaker (as well as having a gorge singing voice
).Enjoyed the banter Rhydian had with the crowd when someone said "Oh no he isn't" and Rhyd said "Oh yes he is". ![]() He's a natural, isn't he? You know something, it wasn't only Leon who made progress during 'X Factor', Rhydian did too as he was not used to singing pop and rock songs. ![]() Pleased he's gonna do an album soon. It's good to have confirmation from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Interesting to hear that he had so much support from Simon - and two phone calls on Sunday before he left the UK and now one from Barbados. At least he is now saying he will be doing an album - yesterday it was he hopes to - I know he said that because he is sworn to secrecy, but it still sounded too uncertain to me. |

Thanks for that because it doesn't let me watch from here - I get a message 'not available in your country'

Liz, Rhyd's best friend was in the RAT thread yesterday and was talking about the album so I would say it's a certainty. |

[for peaceablegenie2] He also said again how much he appreciated people voting for him when it was so expensive (
god I love him for that] and he was only sorry that he let them down and hadn't won. He said that last bit so nicely, not dramatic or self-pitying or anything, just in a really genuine way. I'm trying to remember the exact words but can't quite, sorry. The man has a real gift for words as well as song
