I'm a very recent convert to the delights of M&S food (start of December) and it's a habit that I don't think I can afford to continue. I have literally stopped shopping in Morrisons and am now totally addicted to the following to name but a few:

Prawn Bucatini
Prawn Bhuna
Prawn Makhani
White chocolate chip cookies!!!!
Apple Turnovers!

It's not good!

I know

Economists say that M&S defies economic forces, especially when it went through that sticky patch.
It should have gone under, but the goodwill of the public towards the company was huge, and instrumental in its recovery

I think most of the goodwill came from you

We fought our way through the crowds to get one of their turkeys from the adverts yesterday, it's nestling in our fridge looking divine and me and other OH keep having to get and have a look at it

I am *very* partial to M&S, though I have been known (on occasion) to commit the heinous betrayal of...

I actually bought some Quiche's from M&S for Xmas and had them last night and they were pretty poor. First bad thing i've had from M&S for years.

Last year, me and the OH were going through a very very busy time at work, out at 7am, back in at 8pm we were living off ready type / convenience meals, I am not a big fan so decided to stock up on ones from M&S as they are much nicer than most other supermarkets. I have to say after a couple of months we were actually saving money off our monthly food bill, because although they are pricey we were only buying enough food for set meals and not wasting anything or throwing food away uneaten. I’m sure this also works when you meal plan with other supermarkets meals, but M&S food is soooo much nicer and it was just the evidence I needed to convince my OH that M&S was the place to shop for evermore

I feel the food was absolutely heavenly in the 80s at M&S. We used to shop there as a treat. Their clothes were better quality too until the 90s.

Does anyone remember the frozen strawberry mousse meringue cake? - I still drool for it now.

I feel during the mid 90s, the quality wasn't so good for what you paid for, so started using other supermarkets.

Other supermarkets do pretty good food for far less these days.

M&S chinese ready meals are the only supermarket bought chinese meals that actually tast like real chinese.

I hate going to M&S because I always spend way too much in the food hall! You can't beat the quality of their food at all. The only gripe I have with them is that they stopped doing the potato croquets with cheese - They were gorgeous and I don't normally buy much ready made stuff, but these were to die for.

Got my turkey from there again this year and it was gorgeous.

Ordered most of our Christmas lunch from M&S, starters, veg, roasties and pudding, all prepared and ready to cook, just throw it into the oven and away you go, not too much washing up afterwards either.

Bought the Turkey in Sainsburys though, it's a godsend when you have a lot of people coming at Christmas, it makes things a lot easier. Going to do it again next year.

I love M&S food. I'm on Weightwatchers and it's all the delicious stuff from there that I miss the most. I've never eaten anything from there that wasn't nice.
Recently I succumbed and had their brie and cranberry sandwiches, their falafel, mini scotch eggs, and their Xmas sarnies with all the turkey and pork etc. in them.

When I went to M&S ONLY to buy a packet of sweets, I ended up buying their lunch box type cartons of orange juice and passion fruit juice as well!

I eat their southern fired chicken at least once a week. And the frozen baby rostis are the bomb. The missus tells me off all the time, but I can't stop going in. It's my closest supermarket too, only a 5 minute walk
