Who could have done better with better support?

Who was misunderstood?

Who had dreadful song choices?

Who was really shafted this year?

For me, this was Andy Williams. He was given crap songs that didn't suit. Dannii didn't seem to be thinking at all when dealing with Andy.

Dannii was completely uninspired with her song choices. I think Andy could have sung some really nice stuff. He had an unsual voice quality that could have been harnessed far better.

Daniel and Kimberly.

Both pointless fodder in the end, but can actually really sing.

Alisha - Week 1,2 and 5
Daniel - Week 2

I agree loved andy was gutted when he went,if only sharon had put stephanie through instead of emily.

I think Hope, for some reason. Simon just focused too much on Pheobe and gave Week 6 all to her. There was too much praise for her, and they just forgot about the rest of the group.

Same Difference. Any Dream Will Do as their best song? Jason Donovan to pull in the votes?

I think not Mr Cowell.

Daniel (Louis) and Futureproof (Simon) but earlier on Luke and Dominic (Dannii) for Andy and Leon being put through instead.

I think Sharon messed up altogether this year!

Dont know what she was thinking putting Emily through in the first place, the other three girls were better than her. Kimberlys performance (the way they had her all done up) was terrible. And I never liked Alisha, but Valerie was a good performance, but that was it!

Simon: Futureproof - Too in love with Hope
Danni: Andy - Too in love with Rhydian
Louis: Daniel - Too in love with Niki
Sharon: Kimberley - Too in love with....

Emily - in her audition she sounded like a young Randy Crawford Sharon did her no favours with song choices.

I agree with all those.

At Bootcamp I thought Andy and Daniel were ones to watch. Daniel looke really uncomfortable on Saturday like he didn't want to be there...probably wants to forget XF.

I would say Futureproof as Simon was so focussed on Hope it was just silly. I don't think Sharon did well with any of her girls this year and Dannii was far too focussed initially on Rhydian and then on Leon. Andy struck me as having a lot more potential than Leon and I was amazed at how sidelined he was.

So, Louis is the best judge this year then! I don't really feel he let Daniel down as he was pretty terrible.

I think I agree about Andy. I never felt that we got to see anything of hat he had to offer. Although for that reason I can't be sure that he did have anything to offer.

Kimberly was greatly disadvanged by the programme timings fiasco. So althoigh I'd like to blame Sharon I can't.

Agree too about Daniel.

I think that Danni, much as I like her did Rhydian a disservice by not letting him have at least one big production "Get this party started" number in the final and semi final. I wouldn't have wanted him to be all OTT camp numbers but a bit of variety would have been the thing.

I think that Louis did everyone a disservice by appealing for voted based on nationality and other things that had bugger all to do with the perfomance.

I don't agree about Andy, he was good before the live shows but then he was just bad. Nothing to do with the song choices for me, "Chasing Cars" is great, he just thought he could get away with those puppy dog eyes and average vocals. I don't know how Dannii could have helped him.

Anyone mentored by Sharon Osbourne, she has no clue.

I agree with Chisato (I often do; this poster talks a lot of sense!)

In terms of potential winners (which SD obviously were going by the many pre-final polls), they really weren't as well-served in the final by their mentor as they could have been - sad to say.

Not to mention that over the weeks they had to cope with: a last-minute song change in Disco week, the most difficult choreography of all the acts and Louis Walsh's pettiness throughout.

In terms of the other finalists, I think Sharon failed Kimberley and Alisha spectacularly, Daniel, Futureproof and Andy were sacrificial lambs in their categories and Niki and Beverley were let down by Louis' song choices and pathetic appeal to sob stories and regionalism.

Just what I wanted to say.

Daniel let down by Louis, he liked the women better.
Kimberley and Alesha, Mrs O could have cast a vote instead of storming off, she could have sent it to public vote. Plus bad song choices.

I agree with you - I have the feeling Andy was the eye candy this year - His vocals were too predictable, sing song and bland for me.

The 3 girls that were sent home before the live shows were let down by sharon, can't be worse than the 3 she put through.

Danni didn't put Luke through because she said he wouldn't handle the live shows, instead she chose Leon who shook like a leaf everytime he sang and turned the waterworks on when required.

Andy was one of the favorites before the live show's started, but bad song choices and lack lustre performances seemed to dent his confidence.

Hope were biigeed up by Simon so much before the live shows started, that they could only go one way.

And I agree with all of this I'd be a better mentor than that lot put together. All of my three would have been in the final
