I'd have to agree, even as a hard core Rhydian fan, although pleased at the comments I thought that it was strange. By all means say he was brilliant (which he was) and even "the one to beat" but actually saying that he as going to win was unecessarily dismissive of their own acts.

All of Louis' acts for his childish outburst when he discovered he was mentoring the over 25s - if he wasn't happy to mentor all of the groups, he shouldn't have (rejoined) the team. He's entitled to his preferences but should have kept them to himself,

When I heard about "Build me up Buttercup" I thought that it was either very risky or a cunning ploy. It is the kinda song that if you absolutley give it your all and put ever ounce of power into it, it can be amazing. If you don't it comes over as weak and and just a drunk's sing song.

I think Daniel was well and truly stitched up there. Someone had to be sacrificed after Shazza threw her toys out of the pram and looks like he drew the short straw.
His song was only chnaged at the last minute. he was supposed to be doing 'when doves cry'.

I disagree with this. Don't You remember Andy, Brenda and Robert all who did very well under Mrs. O's management came 2nd, 4th and 6th respectivly.

Lots of the acts had bad choices made for them. I feel most sorry for the over 25s in a sense, after Louis said he didnt want to mentor them. Sharon had an off year but that was mainly because of the final 3 she chose and the start time being changed. I must be the only person who enjoyed Its Raining Men

All of Sharon's acts ; she spent virtually no time with them before the live shows, and picked the wrong three singers.X Factor 2007 was an umitigated disaster for her.

Yes but didn't Nikki end up saying Louis was her favourite person in the world and that she 'loved' him? Despite his initial misgivings,he seems to have developed an excellent relationship with Nikki and Beverley.

I've only seen it a couple of times but I think it stood out (along with SD's tragedy) as being fun

Sharon didnt pick the wrong 3 acts, she should of put steph before Em though, Alisha is amazing and even Nicole said, Also Kimberley was good but she was pure stiched up.

Kimberley got well and truely stitched up in Week 1.

Any single bit of her individuality was taken away, and she was left as a girl on stage nothing like what we had grown used to.

Plus there was that whole 15 minute earlier broadcast thing, which virtually killed her chances completely, if Sharon already hadnt.

Its a shame, because she actually was really good.

Louis cocked up with Dan in his eliminination week too, but I didnt like him in the slightest so i dont mind.

All of Sharon's acts were spectacularly screwed over. She made Kimberley (who could have been good) into a tarty barmaid, she didn't seem to understand Emily at all. In fairness to her, she didn't get Alisha wrong every single week, she had a couple of good choices, but I'm putting that down to accident rather than intent.

Oh and Daniel got fed to the dogs.

But the winner of 'worst mentor of x factor 2007' is the defending champion, Mrs O.

Laurie yeah Alisha and the Valerie performance which was stunning i loved it, but dreams just dont go anywhere and Young hearts was just GRRRRR she could have done such a better song than that.

Yeah, I loved Valerie, and Put Your Records On. Dreams was a terrible choice, even most accomplished singer in the world would have a hard time making that interesting, it was just so blah.

I liked how she sang it but it just doesnt go anywhere stays on the same level n all, Put your records on was good loved the ending she is good and i luv her but she was let down and it frustrates me, i saw her audition and boot camp properly and she has a strong voice and i dont know why Shazza didnt give her songs like killing me softly and beyonce stuff.

I agree. Out of all the judges, Louis is the one judge who i feel actually grows really close to his acts. You can see how passionate he is about them every year!

I think person most let down is Daniel, i mean Buttercup was such a bad choice. At least with Alesha and Andy they had songs that suited them but they were just unable to pull them off.

I think Build Me Up Buttercup will be a phenomenum long remebered. At the same time I think that one day if someone really lets rip with it they could blow us away. I would like to see what Ben could have done with it.
