Sound on vision
davhardy

I am getting "sound on vision" interference - a low frequency "burring" added to the sound which is especially noticeable when the picture is very bright or is largely white. It is indicative of the signal being slightly mistuned. Is there any way of fine tuning the Humax? The vision looks OK.

The Humax feeds a digital TV via a SCART connnection. When the received signal is directly via the TV there is no problem so the problem seems to lie with the HUmax

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

When you say 'directly via the TV', do you mean through the aerial lead, or pass-through on the SCART from the Humax?

If the former, then it could still possibly be a problem with your TV SCART decoder or the cable itself. Does the problem occur on playback, live viewing, or both?

Thanks BBinBucks. I have just switched TV and Humax on but cannot repeat the problem. Humax normally switches on about 3-4 hours before I watch it so problem may be drift as it warms up. I'll check your suggestions later in the day.

"directly via the TV" is pass through on the SCart from the Humax. I did fiddle with the Scart before I switched on the ensure it was seated properly (which it seemed to be) so assume I have not inadvertantly cured it.
