I've never heard Leon say anything unkind about Rhydian. In fact, I've never heard Leon bad-mouthing anyone.
We can safely say that is true of both of them.

Indeed they both seem to be nice (in all sences of the word) young lads
They are and Leon and Rhydian did not slag eah other off in anway.

I think that they would be really sad to see others producing documents that are no more that character assasinations.

Hope that they both have a lovely Christmas.

Sorry but this must be one of the most laughable posts on the board.

If he truly was a thoughtful person, he'd certainly not flash the cash and show the others up in this manner - reminds me of the kid who takes teacher the biggest and reddest apple that most other kids have ever seen.

Lets not forget that he thought he was going to win. I seriously doubt he'd have bothered with these non-"main guns" had he known in advance that he'd lose.

Indeed, his arrogance seems to know no boundaries :

I cannot comment on the above as I've only seen him being interviewed on XFactor and then again last night when he claimed Simon was sorry he didn't win.

I do know that he does claim in the Mirror that the female judges dislike/hate him., but this is brushed off because they are not able to further his career, unlike Simon and Louis.

Sounds a tad on the immature side for a 25 year old, and comes across as a mummy's boy here :

Awww, diddums!

His dad came across as a very nice chap. He certainly took a back seat in that interview, he couldn't get a word in edgeways.

Crikey. I think this the only comment I will make, having just returned from a ban. Karijn, I hope you have a great Xmas and a really Happy New Year.

Is this a less than subtle way to tell me that my last post is a bannable offence? If so, I disagree.

He said: "Obviously she [Sharon] hated me to begin with, that's fair enough."

So, in one short interview we discover that Rhydian is claiming that the only 2 female judges in the show dislike - nay, at times hate - him.

Well if he had watched the audition footage where Sharron called him repulsive and that he made her feel sick and she wanted to kill him, no wonder he got the impression that she hated him, it would be a bit delusional of him if he thought otherwise If you read the actual Heat interview he doesn't say anything about Danni hating him.

So, he's not poor, unlike the 18 year old winner and gap year student, Leon, and can afford to send "them all flowers". If he truly was a thoughtful person, he'd certainly not flash the cash and show the others up in this manner - reminds me of the kid who takes teacher the biggest and reddest apple that most other kids have ever seen.
I would hardly call buying a bunch of flowers flashing the cash. And here we go again with the poor little Leon story ... Rhydian's a student as well and in a recent radio interview he mentioned that he had student debts to pay off ... he's not exactly rolling in it himself.

Lets not forget that he thought he was going to win. I seriously doubt he'd have bothered with these non-"main guns" had he known in advance that he'd lose.

Indeed, his arrogance seems to know no boundaries :
Ever thought he might just be a nice thoughtful person with good manners, who wants to thank people for what they have done to him.

Charming!
Yes most people who have met him say he is.

I wouldn't think it has anything to do with them being female, he is very sensible and totally right to realise that the two people on the panel you need to impress are the one who could manage you and the one who would sign you ... I would value Louis' and Simon's comments more than Sharon and Danni's too.

Sounds a tad on the immature side for a 25 year old, and comes across as a mummy's boy here :

"And my mum's threatened to do that if Sharon crosses the line!" he told Heat."

Awww, diddums!

If the Mirror had quoted Heat correctly they would have put in the bit about him laughing and making a joke about that. Do you honestly think he seriously meant that

I could make an ironic comment about people being a mummy's boy but I wont.

The Ginger Whinger will be throwing a public tantrum in the not so distant future...unless he grows up and cuts those strings.
Considering he's lived away from home for a number of years and spent his gap year working in a school in South Africa, I would have thought that he cut those strings years ago.

His dad came across as a very nice chap. He certainly took a back seat in that interview, he couldn't get a word in edgeways.
Nice to see that your dislike for Rhydian stretches to his family as well.

As far as bizarre comments go this takes the biscuit! Rhydian was being polite presenting them with flowers! I can accept that Rhydian isn't everyone's cup of tea (just as Leon isn't mine) but to criticise him for being kind and thoughful is beyone belief

Rhydian giving the people flowers shows he is a nice, kind person! To think otherwise is cynicism at its worst IMO. And I agree, if Sharon called him repulsive, that she wanted to kill him, was always saying how wierd he was I'm not surprised he got the impression she didnt like him

I can't believe Rhydian is being criticised for buying flowers for the stylists to thank them and show his appreciation for all their hard work, a gesture that touched them. Has the rivalry got so far that such a lovely and thoughtful act is pulled to pieces, analysed and the conclusion reached that he is just throwing his money around to impress. Did he go on camera and say he was buying flowers - it was Faye who was genuinely thrilled to receive the recognition and kind note. You cannot blame him that she wanted to tell people about it.
And it is nothing like the kid taking the teacher the biggest apple because he did it privately and it was not to gain favours - he had already had these with respect to his costumes since week 1. What a cynical idea.
Don't you think it could just be his upbringing and also his experiences in music college productions where buying flowers is a custom. He is not rich and neither are his family. I read recently that, as is normal for many recently graduated students, he has debts of 13,000 pounds from his student loans. They do have a lovely house but it is isolated in the Welsh countryside and not in London.
I wish people could just enjoy their chosen favourite and stop negatively analysing every move of the other.

Great post. It really is getting ridiculous at the moment, tbh. Rhydian also always made a point of individually thanking ALL the dancers who performed on stage with him. I'm suspecting no-one but us Rhydian obsessives would know about this, reason being, like the flowers he bought for the styling team, HE NEVER MENTIONED IT HIMSELF, it was other people who did.

Indeed if Rhydian does something thoughful it HAS to be a cynical ploy. If he fails to do absolutley every possible nice thing then he is ungracious and a sore loser.

It's a shame that some people see manners and consideration as a bad thing.

It does make me wonder if they have to have an ulterior motive to do something thoughtful.

I think we are wise to have a healthy degree of scepticism but if it blinds you to the possibility that people are genuine then IMO it is far from healthy.

Absolutely right! The great thing about this year's X-Factor, for me personally, was that all 3 final acts came from close, loving families, were ALL well brought up, had delightful manners and were charming and talented to boot.

It makes such a change from all the rubbish we see on TV about the younger generation of today.

I haven't read this thread 'cos I can't be bothered, but if Rhydian bought flowers for anyone for any reason, good on him! Someone bought me flowers today, too. And they're lovely!

He also bought flowers for Kathrerine Jenkins for performing with him on 'You Raise Me Up' as a thank you. It was on 'Xtra Factor' as Ferne Cotton was interviewing Katherine and mentioned the flowers.

Yes she said they were waiting for her in her dressing room when she arrived ... I suppose he was just buying her off too

I have watched so many videos on YouTube, Dailymotions and Stage 6 that I have lost count of where I saw it, but do remember Rhydian mentioning seeing film of Dannii gagging behind his back when he was leaving the audition room. He did seem genuinely upset about this and, be fair, so would anyone who witnessed footage of someone doing that to them.

Sharon's comments were totally unforgivable and crass. As Rhydian said his skin is not made of asbestos. Personal comments to the contestants have to be par for the course in this programme but Sharon went far beyond acceptability, she is a rather vulgar woman. And if she want's to call someone weird may I respectfully suggest she takes a good hard look at her husband (my apologies for stooping to her level, but had to get that off my chest).

I've been known to buy my Mum & Dad flowers - maybe I'm also buying them off too. It's sad isn't it when someone can't buy flowers/chocolates etc as a thank you without being seen to have an ulterior motive.

What possibly could my Dad have wanted from me the other week when he bought me a much valued pressie (Shaun the Sheep DVD). I'm now very suspicious of my Dad's motives. :

I wanted Shaun at number 1, but alas doesn't look like I'll get my wish this year.

They showed it to him as part of his 'best bits' in the final.

To say Sharon is uncouth is being kind.

He will have also seen it, along with Sharon's reactions and words, in the shows leading up to the contestants moving into the house. He must have been devastated, and his family as well.

Rhydian can send flowers to whoever he likes to , its just his way of saying thanks and I think its very thoughful , does not show the others up in anyway at all.
