Maybe some Matt fans could deal with THAT?!

Then we could all perhaps put this sorry episode behind us and watch what unfolds tonight ...”

Another excellent post Servalan.

Wonderful post.

Some people really need to get a sense of perspective.

The furore over what has happened is driven as much by concern for Matt as for Alesha and Gethin. As a result of the BBC's hyped up 'Matt's comeback' soap opera and the judges' inability to do their job consistently, we have had Craig worrying about Matt's ability to do five routines and Len effectively saying that Gethin, not Matt, should be in the final. Is that what Matt fans want?

Letitia's exit, regrettable as it was, was a foregone conclusion once she was in the dance-off with Alesha. She knew it and so did we. Ergo no uproar.

Matt fans might feel differently if he had not been saved last weekend. Instead, however, many seem to class legitimate posts about the judges' moving the goalposts and subsequent contradictory remarks as 'boring', because their favourite is in the final.

If that is all that matters to them, fine. But there is a wider question about fairness and credibility of Strictly that goes way beyond who is in the final - which has been raised by the producers' and judges' behaviour.

That is what all this is about ...”

This is an answer to a post of me.
I voted for Letitia before she left ( and Kenny and John), so not a hardcore Matt fan.
And yes i think it's becoming boring but also funny because often so OTT ( IMO) all the uproar about Gethin being "robbed"

The "boring/funny" uproar about the producers/the judges (Gethin was the fall guy) is nothing compared to "poor Matt, he's only 20", "Matt's comeback", and now "Matt the underdog" that has been whipped up by the producers/judges and shamelessly been rammed down the audiences' throats. Deathly dull, inaccurate and with not very amusing consequences for anyone, really.

If we hadn't had any of it and it had been more about the dancing, quite a lot of people would be much happier ...

Yes and with the same effect..... same people in final if it was about the best dancers of the last four.

I too became sick of the ITT editing and 20 years old nonsense.

I really do pity that it's not a three person final, much more exiting and Gethin or Kelly if she hadn't left would have been in it.
