From today's Mirror.

Looks like Christmas has come early for baby-faced X Factor winner Leon Jackson.

He was stunned when his hero, jazz singer Michael Buble, called out of the blue to suggest the pair work on a possible duet in 2008.

A source said: "As soon as X Factor was over, Michael's PA was straight on the phone to try to set something up.

"Leon couldn't believe it. He was completely bowled over."
Fabulous news for Leon

That's great! I can just imagine Leon's face when he heard that

It's nice that Buble was really genuine about his interest and I hope he takes him under his wing a bit.

I'd be delighted if Leon could get that kind of support. Better than that of Simon....

Great news if true. Maybe Michael could get Leon to support him on his next tour?

Great news! Very generous of Michael - and it proves that Michael wasn't just 'being polite' on the show maybe Celine or Tina Arena will be next

Leon did very well on the XF in gathering a whole army of celeb compliments and supporters.

The one that took me back most was Jon Ansell, I must admit. I mistakenly assumed that Jon would find Rhydian more to his taste. Obviously not.

Yes, i found that very interesting...one thing I will say about Jon is that vocally he may be of a similar style to Rhyd, but he sings from the heart not from his head, so I think he probably connects more with the rough diamond of Leon than the text book presentation of Rhydin.

As you say, I think people like Buble, Dion, Gabrielle et al know more about vocal talent than most of the armchair critics on this board...

Jon remains the best classical style vocalist they have had on the show...

I am looking forward to his album...

So am I. He signed a 1 Million pound deal with Universal Records so they will hopefully be promoting him well. He is the real deal and the only reason I loved G4 so much.

Wow, well done Jon. No competition, Arty eh?

G4 weren't my faves (as you know), but Jon was always such a great guy and I loved him doing Nessun Dorma. This is the song that separates the men from the boys, as it were.

Jon was fantastic singing that song. I really think people are going to be very impressed when he releases his debut album.

Just wondering what people think that Michael and Leon would do if they were to do a duet?

Home would be an obviouse choice, but maybe it would be something new?

Jon Ansell is obviously very driven as in that 10 second interview in which he praised Leon he managed to shamlessly plug his upcoming album. An album that would be fighting for the same niche market that Rhydian would attract.

Precisely, as if Ansell's going to be welcoming Rhydian into the business . That would be a bit like a turkey voting for Xmas.
