I eat it and trust it. If you were going to worry about trusting foods you would never eat anything, at least the previous problems with beef are known about and have been dealt with so what other foods are there problems with we are not aware of at the present time but something may be found in the future

I adore beef. I'd say that these days your far more likely to become ill through a dodgy bit of chicken or pork- birds and pigs are loaded with germs and very dengerous when undercooked, whereas it's quite safe to eat beef without cooking all the way through as long as it hasn't been handled by human skin.

I love beef. I tend to only get it from M&S or a local butcher.

I don't bother eating it our house though as I like it rare and the others turn their noses up at it and want theirs burnt.

I don't understand why you wouldn't trust eating Beef, would like to hear from the people who say they don't as to the reasons why.

Well, for me most of my family is Hindu, so I can't really, can I. I am Buddhist myself, and I just don't like it, or eat it. I don't know why, I just don't like it. Pork is starting to get on my nerves. I don't know why people at my school have a go at me for not trusting or liking it. It's my choice.

Ditto.

Although I hadn't eaten beef for a few years even before I started to follow a vegetarian, then vegan diet.

I do like beef. Stopped eating it in the early 90s, even though at the time the government was still insisting there was no human health risk. I do eat it again occasionally now, but not regularly any more - I think all the years of abstaining from it has got me used to not having it.

There is generic beef, and there is high quality beef from a known source.
I would rather shove McShite type beef up my ar$e rather than let it pass my lips.
On the other hand, buy a good steak from a real butcher and there is nothing finer.

Bring it to room temperature, season it with garlic and black pepper. Let it rest. Then get the griddle pan as hot as you can. Sprinkle a tiny bit of sea salt on the steak and fry it for hardly any time (Depends on thickness of the steak not you, LOL) ... just enough to sear the outside. Put a bit of sea salt on the uncooked side and then turn the steak. Let it sear and then remove to a plate and let it rest. Add your garnish (chips, salad, veg, watercress, whatever you fancy) and eat. Yum, yum.

Never overcook beef. It is a sin. If you don't like it rare please don't bother. Eat beans.

I love good beef and have never stopped eating it during Foot & Mouth or BSE scares.

Am I mad? Moooo!

When we got burgled (in the mid-80s), they even ran off with the T-bone steaks in our freezer

So why does that make me a troll when I'm the fourth person to state I don't eat beef because I'm a vegan on this thread. The OP asked who doesn't eat or trust beef, she didn't ask for a reason. Also, why did it make you mad?? Bit of an over reaction?? Not me who's trolling.

Well the OPs question is, "Who Here Doesn't Eat or Trust Beef?"

It only requires a short answer. If you want to turn it into long debates that's fine... but if some people want to answer the OP... guess what, that's fine too.

If you want a thread filled with long essay posts start one and stipulate only 5,000 word posts are allowed, otherwise stop being so silly.

I said, "Never overcook beef. It is a sin".
I did not say it is illegal, neither did I affect anyone's right to do what they want. Of course people can have their beef however they want it. There is no need for you to be aggressive.
