Are you completely against veggiemince? I don't want to look like I'm a crusading vegetarian, but I very much like my spag bol with veggiemince. I don't notice that I'm missing anything, but haven't eaten 'real' mince for decades so am way past the time of adapting to a slightly different flavour.
Returning to the topic here, I don't eat beef because I don't eat any meat. And things like the horsemeat scandal are certainly not making me regret this decision. If the completely wrong sort of meat can get through, who knows what other corners are being cut/rules being broken.
