What did you have for lunch today?
I tend to get stuck in a rut with the lunches I eat so maybe if we share, some good ideas might get passed around
![]() I had a slice of pizza from last night that I topped with chicken and cooked spinach with a piece of garlic bread. |

I had two of the honey and sunflower seed crusty rolls that I regularly buy from Sainsburys. Very nice indeed - 30p each or 4 for a quid. On one I had some peanut butter and the other a liberal helping of the apricot jam left over from last night when Mrs YorkieUK used it to apply the marzipan to the christmas cake. Hardly an exciting, interesting or imaginative lunch but still quite tasty all the same.
And I dont mind saying Mrs YorkieUK's christmas cake looks, and smells, a cracker this year.

I had cucumber with sliced pickled onions (you know the kind in a jar), on plain wholemeal bread. The cucumber is a nice flavour on it's own, but the pickled onions really give it a kick. Not the most eleborate meal, but great for a quick, healthy snack.

What I had for my lunch today
Baxter's soup. It had vegetable chunks in it, including celery! Also, there was chunks of lamb in this soup as well! Then, I had some Jacob's crackers with some creamy beetroot sauce spread on to them!
