The reviews seem very positive, and the trailers have looked great. But I saw the motorway chase scene at the CiN concert last year, and that turned out to be the only decent thing in the episode!
That's a view I certainly agreed with. This year, the reviewer reckoned, is a massive improvement and described it as 'amazing'. Judging by the trailers, it looks like an extremely ambitious piece of television, and the BBC really have pulled out all the stops. Who'd have thought, five years ago, that Doctor Who would be described by the nation's most respectable TV critics as THE television event of the holiday season that no kid under the age of 90 (yes, ninety) should miss?...to paraphrase the Times's reviewer. That's no small praise. Love or hate his scripts, there's no questioning RTD's success in handling of the series in terms of delivering the results. The guy will doubtlessly go down in TV history as one of the most successful showrunners of all time. Regards, Cypher |

They took a bit of a gamble with The Runaway Bride. They must have known that Catherine Tate was an acquired taste based on public opinion, so to cast her was quite brave. I loved it simply because David Tennant and Sarah Parish are my favourite actor pairing in the world, ever.
This year it looks like they've really pulled out all the stops what with Kylie and the sheer glamour of a Titanic setting. I think the fact The Doctor won't be obsessing over bloody Rose will make it all the more enjoyable. |

I'm looking forward to a Christmas Rollercoaster Romp of cheesy one-liners, the odd OTT scream and a rubbish resolution
No, but seriously, I'm expecting entertainment, not a work of art - although a work of art would be an excellent surprise Who am I kidding, I'm just looking forward to the new theme tune!!! ![]() Have a nice Christmas everyone!!!
