Thanks for that.... I;m always surprised on these reality phone vote things how much money is putt down on bets for a person that they may or may not even like. Do these bet-ters then have to ring up to put money on that person to ensure they win and thus get a return on their bet? I was fascinated by this when BB etc were on..

As for tonight I will be pleased for them both whoever wins. But have been routing for Mattesha from day one so am voting for them

I think it might, which worries me both because Matt & Flavia are going to dance first and because I honestly think it'll be better

i think they both rock not too bothered about who wins have put in 5 votes each might put a few more in after the showdance!

I think it might be down to the lifts - the viewers like lifts. Alesha says they have had probs because she is so heavy. I'm a bit worried.

I voted for the first time this series tonight for Alesha. Might be a few more on the way depending on the show dance.

Personally i think Alisha is by far the better dancer.

Just been texting and talking to fellow SCD fans between me and my other half, and most are the same. And good to see we are not the only ones! From the first week I thought Matt and Alesha were probables for the final and now they are here, it is a split atom in between them both imo. Most people I know agree Alesha has been the most consistent dancerm though has made mistakes. On the other hand they like Matt as he has wowed them often in a dance yet made mistakes too. Not being a fan of either in their careers, or even knowing who they were before as have not most of my pals, we are all taking it on the final and are not voting until the showdance as we know that can be decisive, however short a time there is to vote. Nice to not mind for once tbh!

I've voted for them equally over the weeks (3 times each i believe) and although tonight i think they have both been outstanding my votes so far have gone to Alesha. I'm not sure why she edges it for me but for some reason she's really moved me and i've felt myself welling up with every dance.

I do however think Matts show dance is going to be better due to the lifts and Alesha has stated she's struggled with them.

yeh im thinking that and matt has said he loves the lifts and finds them easy!

With Flavia being a lot easier to lift, although Matt Cutler must be stronger than the other Matt, it could be that Matt and Flavia are able to do a better showdance.

Although Matt might drop her of course.

but why is it all about lifts
Surely a great showdance shouldnt be all about who does the most lifts?
IMO it would be unfair if thats what its about as Flavia is a lot lighter then Alesha....

dont even go there, i cant think about anyone being dropped scares me!!

i duno but the show has made it, to be about the lifts becasue there not allowed to do them all series and they are in this dance!

I still think its slightly unfair for those that dont weigh 8 stone.

Lifts are more spectacular to look at, and have audience appeal, it's as simple as that. Why else did Brendan C. put in three lifts?

although i think alesha deserves to win - I'm pretty sure matt will....

the lifts give something the wow factor that "just dancing" is hard pressed to do. I think the lifts could clinch it but it depends what the dance around the lifts comes out like - mistakes can be made peeps so no-one has it in the bag as yet

Whether it is the showdance that will decide I have no idea, but agree it's close run (and a lot closer than some of the Matt detractors expected, so well done Matt - even though I want Alesha to win )

true but then you could say for the boys its harder as they have never done lift work and arent as strong as the pros and the female pros need to have a lot more trust in them but i understand what your saying but it adds to the drama!!

A show dance is just that, a show dance where the rulebook goes out the window, and you are allowed free rein.

You're right, but the lifts are what add the wow factor to it. Unless the other couple just have a better choreographed routine.

I've forgotten the names of the couple that demonstrated a showdance the other week, but I don't think the woman's feet were on the ground for more than 5 steps.

Then again, the female pros can launch themselves into lifts with far more aplomb than the celebs .....
