Agree Captain sensible , definitely lacking something all round tonight .

I think it is won way before teh showdance , there is no time to register huge votes to make a difference and going 2nd is a disadvantage yet ....... Mark went 2nd and won , Darren went 2nd and won.

Jill is still much better than Alesha IMHO .

I'm not disappointed at all by the final because I honestly don't know who will win it! I'm in complete suspense and it could go either way. Admittedly they ae not dancing as well but they're EXHAUSTED!

I hope Alesha pulls off the fast showdance though and wins.

I think both of them are tired and are being careful. I think the heavy workload and nervous tension has taken a bit of their sparkle away. Last year was the same. 5 dances is probably the reason they struggle to explode in every dance.
Given that, they have let no-one down. The standard has been high, but we know they are both capable of better.

I think the idea of eliminating two from five in the semifinal is a good one. Then if someone drops out, you eliminate one and still have a 3-way final.

It's been so close, they've all done so well and although I want Matt and Flavia to win, Alesha and Matthew have done an amazing job too.

I don't honestly think that it'll come down to the showdance. Last year the showdances were right at the end and there was only about five minutes after them to vote before the lines closed. I think most people will probably have voted after the first show.

If you're talking about the week of the 'nervous breakdown' then his rival was Letitia - who was never very good, or even good actually. Even if he had ended up in the bottom 2 with her he would have easily beaten her. Then the weeks would have unfolded as they have done and he'd have beaten Gethin in the dance off and be in the final as he deserves to be. Who do you think should be there instead??

The ony let down for me was the music and the singing. Matts Salsa seemed slower to me because of it. I'm going to have to re-watch it later.

So you think that Matt who was at that time a trembling wreck would have been able to dance again that evening do you.i think that would have been highly unlikely

James Jordan tried it a few weeks ago and didn't make much of a job of the same lift .

If lifts are not what is wanted , and I would prefer to have seen Maren do a great Latin medley with a few less daring lifts thrown in , then Tess should NOT be saying this is what you will be doing next week and Victor and Hanna should not be on the semi final show and held up as an example ..

Dear me kz_91, you are very critical of everyone and everything ! except Matt , he was awful 2 weeks ago and is very lucky to be there now , But he is and so is Alesha and they are very evenly matched .

Letitia danced beautifully the week she left and IMO did the best paso of the series .

I'm a bit worried for Alesha if it does come down to the show dance, as Flavia's choreography is always outstanding, so as long as Matt performs well they'd have the edge there I think.

I'm not bothered by Matt's nightmare week - the important thing is that he came back from it and proved that he is a worthy finalist (and it's the Beeb's fault that Gethin isn't the final with him & Alesha).

I tried voting for Mark and Karen last year after their show dance and the lines were engaged.

Erm.... ok i actually said in my post i though he deserved to win that final. I just hated that show dance imo it had no grace, just really a lot of ugly lifts. That's all, the rest of his dances were miles better than Matthew Dawsons. I forgot how OVER sensitive the Ramps fans can be.... :yawn:

He should be there, he's a better dancer than Gethin, I like both of them, but Matt is better.

I think the 5 dances really messes with the quality and the oomph they are able to give to each dance - thought the same last year too

I think the way the evening is set out is wrong.

5 dances is too much. I'd rather see 3 dances performed as well as possible: best ballroom, best latin, then showdance.

Rather than tonight's scramble through 5.

And they should all be performed in the earlier part of the show.

What's the point in them coming back & doing the VW & the show-dance when the votes have already been cast?

It gave the whole earlier segment a feeling of anti-climax.

I think there is a good case for Matt not being in the final/leaving instead of Letitia (If he had left, I wouldn't have been outraged or anything). However (and for better or worse), the public decided to keep him in and he could have either had another nightmare week or got his act together. He did the latter and is dancing well enough to justify his place in the final. It would have been great if Gethin had been there as well (the final I wanted), but blame the Beeb for that...

Not at all .
I didn't overly like any of the showdances throughout the 4 series .

ETA Matt and Alesha were excellent then .
