I used to work in a chinese restaurant. I put loadsa weight on as the chef used to give me loads of freebies.

Does anyone else like to scoop up the fried rice with prawn crackers? Boss!!

Oh yes, I've been known to fill a prawn cracker with rice and then put Hoi Sin on it. Genius.

I know this sounds stupid but why oh why do they have to put prawns in prawn crackers!! lol! I used to love them but can't eat them because I'm a vegan. They don't put beef in beef crisps for example!

I'm not sure all Prawn Crackers have prawn in them. I remember seeing it on Watchdog I think.

I absoloutely love :

Dumplings with vinegar sauce
Beef in oyster sauce
chicken chow mein
chicken fried rice
duck in orange sauce
battered butterfly prawns
prawns on toast
seaweed
crispy aromatic duck!

Mmm hungry now!

I love the Chicken Curry.I used to like spar ribs too, though everyone by where i used to live said they was german shepard ribs i was eating lol

Plain fried noodles and beef with ginger and spring onion is my staple. Not averse to sweet and sour chicken balls or chips in curry sauce.

My brother ordered from 'chop chop' once, for delivery. The lady said 'you live just round corner, you pick up, lazy boy, chop chop!' I laughed

I love hot and sour soup, that with chips in it and some prawn crackers.

I used to like singapore vermicelli but after having a really dodgy one a few weeks ago i cant bear to eat another.

What do you have when you eat chinese food?

For me it is a chicken curry and chicken noodle soup

i only ever have Special Fried Rice, Chips and Sweet and Sour sauce from the chinese, it great!

Just had some spring rolls but they were from Asda.


I really need to get adventurous, chicken curry and egg fried rice is all I seem to get from our local.

Usually have mixed starters, Peking duck, either beef with black bean or beef with ginger and spring onion and eggfried rice or Singapore noodles (shared between two, obviously).

I've jst made Special fried rice, Sweet & sour chicken, spare ribs in Hoi Sin sauce and Sesame Prawn toasts ....and i'm stuffed

Salt and pepper ribs (sometimes called salt and chilli ribs), smoked chicken/salt and pepper chicken, egg or vegetable fried rice. If I am feeling brave I will have chilli oil too. It's the hottest thing I have ever tasted in my life!

The funny thing is that the majority of food in Chinese restaurants you can't actually get in China. Although I wouldn't mind an English version Chicken chow mein.

I went to China on a day trip about 8 years ago whilst staying in HK. Part of the tour was to take us to a genuine Chinese Restaurant in Guangzhou. Needless to say the food was unrecogniseable from what's served up here and I'm convinced to this day that we were eating an animals foot of some kind.

My favourite is Dim Sums, Singapore Noodles and Crispy Beef in Birds Nest.

I'll try anything that doesn't have onions in it, though usually I just order something and ask them not to put them in.

Usually I go for......

Prawn or Beef Curries
Deep Fried Crispy Beef
Anything with Sweetcorn or Chinese Mushrooms

I alternate between fried rice and soft noodles to go with it. Starters I usually stick with BBQ Ribs or hot wings, though I guess your starting to see a trend here in hot and spicy selections .

We have some of the following:

Sweet & sour chicken balls
Shreaded chilli beef
Chicken in yellow bean sauce (with cashew nuts)
Hot noodles
Hot rice
Beef in black bean sauce
Chicken curry

Depends what mood we are in and how hungry we are.
