Brenda was by far the best singer in series 2 and Chico was a great entertainer. Chico did "Timewarp" very well as it happens, it was the judges' comments that got people not to vote for him. Brenda got "Without You" wrong (sang high at the start of the chorus instead of low) and got eliminated - I don't think anyone should ever do that song on X-Factor anyway.
A lot of the time they are given the wrong songs to sing. Why didn't Andy do as his Christmas song in the final of series 2 "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire". Just seemed a perfect choice for him.
I could mentor these acts better because at least I'd have a decent idea of knowing what to get them to sing, listening to them in practice and changing our mind if it wasn't working.
