Panasonic TH50PZ700E Setup menu partly disabled
NewToHD
23-12-2007
I just bought a Panasonic Plasma HDTV and the installers set up the channel tuning automatically and everything works fine.
But when I tried to access the Setup menu later myself to change a few positions of some channels I found that the menu doesn't show quite a few of the options, including Tuning Menu, Q-Link settings, etc
It's as if part of the menu list has been hidden or disabled.
Does anyone please have any ideas about what has happened and how to get all the menu options visible again?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

When you accessed the menu were you watching the TV through a SCART lead?, the tuning menu is commonly disabled if you were.

Thanks for the fast reply! I have my Sky HD box connected through HDMI1 and I have a Panasonic HDD connected to the AV2 SCART
And I have the normal TV aerial plugged into the coaxial socket
It seems funny that this might cause some of the choices on the menu to be hidden.
What should I do please?

Go to normal terrestrial TV, and when you press Menu from there the options should be available (on SCART or HDMI there's no tuning involved, so no need for a tuning menu).

Thanks very much, Nigel - it worked.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks so much as well!

Would never have thought parts of the menu would be disabled, and the official Panasonic site makes no mention of it. (FAIL!)
