Next year why not release the single on another date.

The Christmas No1 is getting totaly rubbish since the X took over. When I first saw Shayne Ward having his. I thought it was just a one off (same too for Girls Aloud in 2002) but now it's getting out of order and it's now every blooming year. Could they have not had it in January like Pop Idol's Michelle McManus and the first X winner Shanyne Ward had.

Please Simon or anyone on the X Factor, will you please put the number one for another date in future series?

The point IS to get the Xmas No 1.

and what's the difference between the CHristmas No 1 and any other number 1? DO the acts get a bonus?

They sell more.

If that is the case. There should be two acts who should get the same status.

I'm also going to say that the No2 song is THE proper Xmas No 1

So well done to Katie Meula and Eva Cassidy. The proper Christmas No 1 in 2007.

No, Leon is the proper No 1.

Which doesn't mean that the song isn't dreadful - at least in my opinion - but it does belong where it is.

IMO, the top song as Christmas No 1 should be a Christmas song. That's why I was fully supporting the songs and fully against Leon getting Number 1.

No there shouldn't. I think this years single is utter crap, but it deserves to be number one. Every single that makes #1 deserves to be number one. It's about which song and artist is the most popular with the public, not your (or my) individual tastes. All this Christmas #1 nostalgia is a load of crap, loads of the best Christmas songs never made #1, usually beaten by novelty songs.

Chritmas no.1s are traditionally bad. However were it not for X Factor and charity, Leona would have been number one - so this year would have been an exception.
