Help please with Finalising DVDs
I have a DVD recorder which is a Toshiba D-R160.
I recorded a programme onto a disc last night and followed the finalising instructions so I can play the disc on other players. The thing is, it wont play on any of the other players in the house. Am I doing something wrong or are my other players just being awkward? It plays OK on the Toshiba. |

Does your DVD recorder allow you to select either VR or Video mode?, only Video mode (after it's finalised) allows playing on normal DVD players.

It does yes.
So if I switch to video mode to finalise, it will allow playing on other devices. Thank you. Just trying to make it sink in. Im a bit of a technophobe but im getting there

I think you have to format the disk in Video mode in the first place (for DVD-RW discs).
