Yet another connection problem

Ok I have just bought my mum a new TV set for her bedroom with one scart socket, now both her VCR and DVD are single scart but as they are cheap/old they do not have the ariel cable (if you know what I mean) does anyone know how to connect this and if possible if you could connect so that what ever is switched on (DVD or VCR) then they will automatically work as she is old and a bit confused with pressing AV buttons, hope someone can help as my mum is an angel

The VCR must have a Aerial Loop through as it needs the Aerial to supply the tuner in it, you could therefore use the RF connection (Aerial Out) of the VCR to view video by tuning one of the channels on the TV to that frequency. Whilst this is not as good as scart it should be fine for a bedroom tv, this would then allow the scart connection for the DVD.
Alternatively you would need to purchase a Scart switch box.

What kind of TV manufacturers make new TVs with only one scart socket in this day and age? Are you sure you haven't bought some second hand piece of crap for her (angel or otherwise)?

Sorry I should have said its a 19" portable Samsung television and most/all of the TVs at this size are single scart socketed, still looking for any alternatives!!!!!

Our new "Grundig" LCD from Tesco for £130, actually!
Well, it was made in China for Beko and pre-programmed with Turkish channels, but its fine as the Sky bedroom set, no problems.
Not bad connectivity either, with AV1, AV2, S-video and VGA sockets. So it would have been cheap even for a monitor.
