I actually cant believe that they are together - she has been round the block a few times....

Aside from that - his ex girlfriend of 3 years must be totally gutted and really hurt - it makes me annoyed........she will now have to view pictures of them in the paper (like in todays)

He maybe good on stage e.t.c but..... what an insensitive arse...

While i'm not and never will be Denises biggest fan i really can't see how its insensitive. He was in a relationship that ended months ago and now hes dating someone else. Is he supposed to never date again???

While it may be unpleasant for his ex to see pictures of them it hardly makes him insensitive imo. One of the downsides to his new found fame i would imagine is how he views it

Lee is anything but insensitive. He has said many times over how his friends and family have kept his feet on the ground so he won't get carried away from the unexpected rise to fame. He goes out to meet his fans after every performance and tries to give as much back to everyone and thanks them.

I do think Lee winning ADWD is a reason for the breakup with his girlfriend. His life is suddenly in celebrity mode and his career is very demanding. But he has said in interviews that he is still in touch with Kerry even if they're not officially together any more. I can see why this could hurt Kerry but I don't believe for a second that Lee just dumped her so he could take off with Denise. Besides, he's so busy with his career now that I doubt its anything to fuss over.

Most of what is said is just tabloid gossip that gets exploited by the press. Denise has shown interest in Lee since ADWD but it's never been officially stated that they're a "couple".

I agree with you ice queen. Kerry Stammers was definitely dumped for DVO.

Denise Van Outen has insisted that she "rarely spoke" to Lee Mead when they filmed Any Dream Will Do together last year.

Van Outen was a judge on the BBC One reality series, which saw Mead beating eleven other hopefuls to the lead role of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit West End musical.

Denise and Lee started dating late last year following Mead's split from his girlfriend Kerry Stammers.

"I rarely spoke to Lee during the series. There is quite a divide between the judges and the contestants, you have to be professional," Denise told The Sun. "Also, he had a girlfriend who was at the studio and I would never have gone there, I'm old fashioned like that. They were broken up for three months before anything happened between us.

"Lee heard I was single, called and asked me out. It wasn't really a date, we went with a group of friends, then things deepened."

I Quote what this classy lady says " she got dumped, and the best thing to get over one guy is to get under another"....classy........I must say...yuck

CASPER you are quoting from a whole interview from Heat. A magazine which is known for it's crude interviewing style. In the circumstances i think she handled it well

I don't read Heat but you can see what type of mag it is from the TV ads.

Denise was not obliged to give this interview or make any comment. In all of the press articles, which I've read on the net, Lee seems to have acted with dignity in this matter. As a poster has said earlier he is a sensitive person. On the other hand, Denise has been quite outspoken.

However, being outspoken can result in criticism and a public backlash. I think, that perhaps as DVO has been in the media spotlight for a long time, she knows how it works and doesn't care about saying it as it is which is of course her prerogative.

PS Den sure has a fab bum!!!!! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...icle670097.ece

What exactly was Lee supposed to do? Lock himself away and stay celibate for the rest of his life in case he hurt Kerry's feelings? He had every right to move on (as did she - if she hasn't, that really isn't Lee's problem).

I find it sad that 'moving on' can be considered insensitive. Especially as Kerry has probably gotten on with her life now - she may already be in another relationship - it's been 4 months since the split, after all.

It's a shame that Lee's current relationship is being played out in the media, but he's famous now and that really can't be helped. It's not something he deliberately set out to do to get at Kerry - he strikes me as a sympathetic and sensitive person, who wouldn't stoop to that kind of childish and petty behavior.

I think Kerry should count her blessings and move on (if she hasn't already). She's young, pretty, in a job she loves and with no 'baggage' (kids, mortagage etc) to deal with. A lot of people aren't that lucky!

Personally I can't see the romance lasting very long as Denise doesn't usually stay around too long!
I think a romance with someone as high profile as Lee is at the moment keeps her in the public eye a little more as well!

I agree Lee does have every right to move on. But I wonder why Denise keeps giving interviews to the media ie The Sun, Heat and some comments through friends, while Lee has maintained a dignified silence.

I wonder if she's getting some backlash?

Possibly because she has a tv show to promote (She is appearing in The Empresses New Clothes on the BBC next week) as well as the fact she has just signed a deal to co-host a radio show with Johnny Vaughn.

So she actually has something to promote and that is the primary reason for her doing the rounds of the gossip mags etc and some (ie Heat) chose to ignore that fact and quiz her about her love life.

Also as I have seen someone else point out elsewhere - if Lee had a problem with DVO discussing anything in the papers - he is a perfectly capable 26 year old and he has a mouth ... if he has problems he can sort them out himself

Denise is doing promotion for a TV show she is in and her upcoming radio show with Johnny Vaughan, consequently she is being asked about her relationship with Lee.

Yes, as you say she's appearing in one of the Beeb' fairy tales and on the radio with JV. So she's more than likely doing some press stuff at the mo.

Anyway, what do you reckon to the DVO bum?!!!!

Speaking of arses.... any views of the Van Outen 'arris as seen last week on The Empress's New Clothes?

I thought it was a case of nice 'arris shame about the acting.

Also didn't see a Denise Loves Lee tattoo!!!!
