"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Ewan McColl though the best known version is by Roberta Flack. Journey South also recorded a version of it. Leona performed it on "Saturday Night Divas" last month.

And it's BRILLIANT! Even better than Roberta Flack's version, IMO. I hope it's released as a single. I never tire of hearing it.

I love it too! Not sure if they should release such a well-known song as a single though.

It's an amazing version. I'm actually glad she covered it. I wouldn't mind if she covered another song for her next album, if she sings it that good!

I love it too! Not sure if they should release such a well-known song as a single though.
I've always considered this song to be one of those 'untouchables' which could never be bettered by Flack in 1971. I know Dion has covered it but I think Leona's version is SO good, it would be a number 1 hit worldwide. Most kids have never heard of Flack.
