Great article about Leon from The Daily Star. So pleased that he is being congratulated by most of the press. There's a small mention of "controversy", but I think that is all dying down now as people are concentrating on Leon's fantastic single sales instead.

XSTATIC LEON IS NO1 HIT

X FACTOR winner Leon Jackson landed the Christmas No 1 yesterday with the fastest-selling single of the year.

The singer shifted 276,000 copies of When You Believe, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined.

And it tops a fairytale Christmas for rag-to-riches star Leon, 18, who grew up in a council flat before landing his glittering £1million music contract.

When You Believe was originally a duet by Mariah Carey, 37, and Whitney Houston, 44, before being covered by Leon – who turns 19 on December 30.

His single outsold second-placed What A Wonderful World – a duet by Katie Melua, 23, and the late Eva Cassidy – by almost five to one. But celebrations were marred after critics complained that X Factor singers were dominating the Christmas charts.

Last year Leona Lewis, 22, topped the festive chart with A Moment Like This, while two years ago Shayne Ward, 23, did the same with That’s My Goal.

Despite the controversy, Leon – from Whitburn, West Lothian – said: “I’m absolutely over the moon. It’s the best Christmas and birthday present ever.

“Having the Christmas No 1 is an amazing ending to an amazing year and I’m overwhelmed and thrilled.”

Meanwhile, The X Factor runner-up Rhydian Roberts has slated Leon’s debut single. The 24-year-old said: “I don’t particularly like the song to be honest. I didn’t like my version either.”

the 'article' is alright i guess , but with the paper being the daily star it loses credence in my most honest opinion, no joke!
