I normally like Sharon, but her heart really wasn't in it this year. Her rubbish choices of songs, her poor selections of contestants. Her comments ranging from the manic and indecipherable ("His eyes! His bloody eyes!") to the feeble and almost sarcastic ("Mmm, it was nice performance....")

I was disappointed when Louis was sacked, but when he returned I thought perhaps a replacement was needed after all (But not with Brian Friedman! )

I watched the Christmas songs programme on ITV recently my thoughts went to David and Carrie Grant who were appearing (along with the lovely Kate Thornton) and thought they would be good - less panto, solid comments about the singing, good telly experience. And they are vocal coaches.

Surely that proves what a great judge she actually is?

You think Favouring makes someone a great judge

I admit Lemar did brillently. But her favourtism was riddiculus. My point is she never treated the others the same like she treated Lemar.Just my opinion of course.

I would have favoured Lemar. He was the best, as has been proven by his post-FA success. Where's the FA winner these days?

Apart from 'Myspace hell'......

But Carrie also had an opinion, on Lemar.
Judges on talent shows are not neutral, they arent supposed to be, they judge, therefore they have ones they like a lot and one's they don't.

Her favouring of Lemar in the first series was not as excessive (and certainly nowhere near as misplaced or unjustified) as her favouring of Alex Parks in the second series.

Of course, don't you? You just have to see what he's done since compared to the winner, who's name I forget but I believe he was Scottish?

Her favouritsm of Lemar was justified, Alex Parks I beg to disagree, I couldn't bear to hear the songs crucified by the stupid breaks. It's not even something you can put in words, it's just stupid and an Alex Parks thing which, thank God, got her nowhere

As for the Scottish fella, David Sneddon, he was good but his love was of song writing and it got him noticed, I don't blame him, at least he has talent

Yep, have found both good, although Carrie is a little bit by the wayside in that she champions the crap ones on occasion

That would make 5 judges on the panel. How would that work!

If we're talking X Factor then Sharon has to go, that makes 3

Simon, Danni, Louis, Carrie and David. That makes 5 to me!

I know Sharon is a hard act to follow, but does it take 2 people?

Sharon is the dregs of society, but if it takes 2 humans to replace an imbecile I won't complain

The original post is suggesting replacing Sharon and Louis with Carrie and David.

The line-up would be Simon, Dannii, Carrie and David.

Horrendous. Carrie and David.....quite good vocal coaches but dull, dull, dull.

Keep Mrs O but get rid of Louis and being back Pete Waterman.

The problem with Carrie is she has her favourites and they got praise however badly they did and then the others she disliked got torn to pieces. Richard Park was even worse, he made extremely nasty and personal comments towards certain contestants.

I love Carrie and David and the way they get passionate about the FA contestants - I'd love to see them on X Factor!

Sharon really was boring this year and seemed like her heart wasn't in it and even Louis was a let-down, I usually love to hate him!

Sharon Osbourne is a loose cannon and some people watch X Factor for her alone- to see what she might get up to. She generates the most publicity and IMO is the most entertaining. They shouldn't try to play around with the judges again, because the last attempt fell flat on its face.

The answer to your question is he's a songwriter signed to Universal and he's a millionaire to boot! Fame Academy was always meant to be about more than being a pop star, it was also about encouraging and teaching songwriting. Carrie and David always felt that it was David's strong point.

I think it may be a case of Lemar doing well as a singer, but David Sneddon was always more interested in honing his craft as a songwriter. Consequently he's doing very nicely from the Royalties he's earning, thank you very much!
