Christmas dinner - what did you have?

I had turkey, stuffing, two types of mashed potatoes, carrots, sweetcorn, yorkshire puddings, gravy, and some random vegetables Then for dessert, mini cheesecakes!

I've had some more turkey, mashed potato and stuffing as a snack, then I'll be having turkey sandwiches for tea

I'm probably overindulging a little bit, but it's Christmas!!

Prawn & smoked salmon salad


Turkey & goose

sausage and sage stuffing

mashed turnip

potatoes roast and mashed

sprouts & carrots

pigs in blankets

lush gravy

Christmas pud ( very alcoholic & made by sons MIL ) and custard , ice cream for little ones

washed down with Asti or Guinness

coffee, tea & chocolatey treats

I dunno what we're having for desserts.

As long as it's not Bread and Butter Pudding, Sponge and Custard or Christmas pudding, I'll be happy.

Xmas Pudding (nearly burnt the house down, swamped it in 40% brandy)

Roasted large chicken, pot roasted Beef, Crispy duck breasts

Sweet and sour red cabbage

Carrots/peas/sprouts/leeks

Roasted and mashed tatties

sausages in bacon

Stuffing

Yorkshire pudding

Beef Gravy and Chicken Gravy

Cranberry sauce/plum sauce/white sauce


Trifle/toffee and pecan roulade/Christmas pudding

Clotted Cream


Rioja and or Chenin Blanc

Prawn Cocktails - classy or what

The usual turkey dinner.

we had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast..
then prawn cocktail for starters...
then dinner was...
turkey crown with bacon over the top
roasted potatoes and onions
honey glazed baby carrots and parsnips
fine beans
sprouts
home made stuffing balls (sausage meat,bread crumbs and herbs)
sausages with bacon round (pigs in blankets)
home made gravy
then pud was...
sainsburys taste the difference mince pies, with devon cream with brandy

haha! the fumes were so strong my 14yr old is convinced shes drunk

Starter- Bree Filo Parcels with salad and cranberry sauce

Main Course- Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, yorkshire pudding with

- Carrots
- Peas
- Sprouts
- Pasnip (only just started liking it)
- Swede
- Mash Potato
- Croquettes
- Roast Potatoes

and gravy

Desert- Baileys Cake with baileys and orange sauce which contained cointreau

and for tea we had a buffet

I bought a Bailey's Cheesecake from Tesco on the 1st Dec and my brother's mate tried it and he said you can really taste the Bailey's in it - unlike other products.

If I ever get the chance to go to France/Germany, I'm going to bring back loads of Bailey's desserts.
