I really liked it, but I miss the rubber band although it was buried in there somewhere still I think.

You see! The casting rumours were nearly correct.. Instead of playing Davros, 'The Kitchen Sink' ended up in the new Titles music!!!

Joking aside I think it'll probably grow on us...
(Still prefer the CE version though...)

I'm not too keen on the new theme to be honest. It's not too bad though, but it's definately weaker then previous arrangements.

Loved it!!!

But then, my choice in music does run to drum'n'bass anyway!

Having heard it again, I still think it's a mess. Nothing wrong with the 2005 version, why change it? If it ain't broke!

I thought it was okay. I can't explain why but I immediately thought of the 1980-1984 version of the theme tune (the Peter Davison version). Was it the increased tempo? Or was it the louder, in-you-face opening notes? Not sure but it definitely made me think of the Davision era.

...then don't fix it.

But they weren't fixing it! They just changed it!

It's the, erm, I can't it, but the, err, quick break, in the Davidson era it was done on keyboards, in the new one it's done by the violins.

I loved it instantly. Don't think Murray Gold got it quite right with his previous versions - he has now. IMHO it was broke, and he's fixed it!

Definitely contains nods to the Howell and TV Movie versions, and am I right in thinking the main melody when it first comes in is the original Derbyshire?

Most of all, it's brave. The original catchy bass line, the best bit of the tune, has virtually been replaced, yet it works! Well done Mr Gold.

I just wish they would always make sure a change in theme tune arrangement is matched with a change in title sequence. I like the new theme, but it doesn't seem to fit the credits.

It's like Trial of a Timelord all over again . . . .although, to be fair, NOTHING would have made that theme tune sound good.

Any chance of somebody making this available? Pretty please?

Indeed, and I don't like it, ugh, I'd hate to think it'll be used in the new series but I know it will, oh well, suppose I'll have to get used to it.

I was not expecting that, so my first impression was that it's a bit too thrash metally for my liking. But it's growing on me.

I have played the episode title sequence several times, and it seems as though the bass tempo has been changed!

The original "dum,dum,dum,dum...dum,dum,dum,dum..."

now seems to be overlaid, or replaced by some kind of double beat.

Still think the mid 70's version is the best, in terms of 'other worldly' sound and feel.

hated it at first but it was 1am when I heard it, but having listened to it a few times I absolutely love it now. There's elements of just about every version in there and I like the early 80's bit stuck in the middle. I have to say I quite liked the 1996 movie version, I think the Piano bits really won it for me but yet again the legend that is Murray Gold somehow manages to make something timeless and brilliant even more brilliant.
