Just wondering what food related items everyone get this year, either something to please one's tastebuds or kitchen tools & utensils.

I got some salmon and duck pates, sesame crackers,4 types of honey and a variety of very nice chocolates and chocolate bars?

I got a delicious Green and Black's chocolate leaves selection box and a block of Cadbury's Dairy Milk Turkish Delight, both of which I just adore.

I got a blender/grinder from my American girlfriend, she picked up on when I was over there at Thanksgiving and she was making smoothies that I said she was getting me addicted! And also when she wanted to get me some "Christmas blend" Coffee to bring home she asked if I had a grinder.

she ordered it from Argos online, she wasasking me which days I would be home and I had no idea what she was getting.

I guess I got a food related christmas pressie. My husband has given me a choice out of 2 presents : 2 weeks Australia - Sydney area or a meal at Heston Blumental's The Fat Duck with 2 nights stay in the area (we live in France)

What a dilemma ! I haven't made a choice yet. Can you all help me decide.

I'd love to go to the Fat Duck, but 2 weeks in Australia is a mile better.

Hehe! I've justified eating them by saying I will have one a day for a 'treat'! lol If an apple a day can keep the doctor away then why not a choccie a day?

Just back from Sydney, so I know what my choice would be. There are so many fantastic restaurants there, plus the weather at the moment is lovely and warm.

I got a box of biccies as a present but this year, I actually made foody presents to give to people. I made homemade fudge (two types, milk chocolate and pistachio and white chocolate and almond) and homemade chocolate covered honeycomb. I packaged them in cellophane bags with some ribbons and stickers and they went down a treat.
