I kind of went damn, when I saw him, I was thinking surely they wont bring him back as it is too like the christmas special, but it smells of RTD and I fully expect to see him in S4

I said it in another thread (but it was off topic over there so probably better that it is here...)
But I wonder if the Davros rumours came from some well meaning "spy" who saw MC during this episode and not knowing the details assumed it was Davros and leaked it to the internet?
So maybe there will be no Davros after all and the Sontarans are the big bad of series 4.....
Yeah I thought if thats Davros when the big villain was revealed at end of tonights episode, I would have been xmas stuffed all over again (and in a good way this time!!!)...instead it was randy BOB from the film Rita, Sue and Bob Too...
but got me thinking, are they testing the waters for Davros since technically, he too was only a head last time we saw him!
OH if only Max had slowly trundled out the vault he was in, had a grubby deep voice and was shouting "AAHHHHHHHH....DOC-TOR.....YOU HAVE CONFOUNDED ME FOR THE LAST TIME!!!"
Davros, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a kaled to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you, my friend, will see
You've got a friend in me
(you've got a friend in me)

With regards to wheeled contraption which contained the disembodied head of Max Capricorn,
notice the small (but subtle) visual reference to Knight Rider on the front, like KITT's scanner?
Or maybe the designers thinking along the lines of the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica?
It seems I was wrong then! In my turkey fuelled bored state I thought the very last shot in the trailer was of Davros. It was a brief shot of eyes close up and I'd have thought they'd save the very last shot for the most exciting tidbit. Was I wrong? Was that something more mundane, like Max Capricorn's son?
