I had a scrambled egg roll the other day (experimenting) and it was lovely ! Not a practical sarnie though ! Salmon and cream cheese is good I'd sometimes add avocado.

Otherwise a favourite of mine is Brie, Tuna Mayo, (and if we have any, Pine nuts)

Chicken/salad without coleslaw on a wholemeal roll or Dairylea cheese spread and tomato with black pepper and ready salted crisps on a wholemeal roll.

that's pretty nice.

I'm really into savoury cheese and onion at the moment.

Usually I quite like tuna, mayo and chopped onion all mixed up.

I like red Leicester and raw onion; I rather fancy that now, as it goes, on a toasted baguette. Mmmmmmmmm!

I also like Quorn 'ham' slices with tomatoes and mayonnaise, which is very delightful indeed.

Anything from M&S to be honest, although Sainsbury's used to do a Salt Beef & Gherkin one that was fantastic.

cheese and onion spread with either cucumber or tomato slices.
closely followed by coronation chicken and lettuce

mum used to make her own bread by hand every sunday (because the oven was on to do the roast) and for sunday tea we had bread still warm from the oven. She would slice it and butter it (with real butter) and we'd have a do it yourself kit. we would choose from jams, cheese, bovril, tomatoes, lemon curd etc etc and make our own at the table as we ate. cheese and onion spread was always my favourite on warm bread.

it used to give us indigestion because it was so fresh, but i have never had anything so nice to put sandwich fillings in.

Tuna mayo, onion and lettuce.

Or one of my faves at the moment is cheese and salad cream and then microwave it for about 20 seconds.

if it's a cold sandwich, roast beef and black pepper. if it's hot, brie and bacon. i despise mayo so am not a fan of shop bought sandwiches. i only like the ones made with my own hands or in front of my eyes.

Salmon and cream cheese as mentioned in the OP is lovely. Alternatively, warm bacon and brie in a crusty white roll.

I like brie and ham, lightly toasted so as to melt the brie. Ideal method is to put a slice of ham on each piece of bread, add the brie to one of those and pop only the one half under the grill. This way only the cheese really gets toasted, while the bread remains nice and soft

Bear with me; this may seem strange but this is a bl***y nice sandwich!

Three slices of white bread (brown or the 'best of both' doesn't work for this sandwich), with Dairylea in one layer and Chocolate Spread in the other.

I mentioned this in the Tesco / Onion thread, but the old Cheese and Coleslaw sandwiches that Somerfield and Safeway used to do were lovely sandwiches too.

Tuna mayo with lettuce and tomato is probably my all time fave. The Pret a Manger special chicken with basil, spinach and pine nuts with yoghurt dressing, comes a close second.

Another favourite is mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and a sprinkling of basil in a freshly baked crusty roll. Had something similar to this at a sandwich bar in Paris. Loooooovely
