On Christmas Eve I tried to schedule 2 programs to record through the EPG guide and pressing the OK button. The little red record symbols were displayed by both programs. Both programs were on channel 4 and were Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (21:00 - 22:00) and the F word (22:00-23:00). Neither programs started recording and I had to record them manually by pressing the record button whilst watching the program. However the little red record icon still showed up in the EPG guide for both of these recordings even after they had finished. Strange eh?. Thoughts anyone?

Are you using accurate recording with firmware version 15 or 20?

If yes it may have been the data wasn't being sent correctly by the TV channel so the recorder didn't think they were actually on.

Start off by telling us what software version you are using?

I am on firmware V1.15 and I am not using accurate recording. Using auto padding; 1 min before and 5 min after.

Had you started a manual recording prior to this problem happening?

I've found if you start a manual recording prior to any EPG set recordings, the EPG recordings fail to start, it's a bug with the firmware. Interestingly the problem doesn't seem to happen if when setting the manual recording you advance the end time.
