I was told by a friend that I'm better off going for a Philips HD as they perform well on standard and HD-def equally. Apparently the more upscale makes like Sony don't seem to like standard-def sometimes?
I've looked around and have seen this model, the PHILIPS 32PFL7782. It will suit my PS3 gaming fine by the looks of things. I have the V+ Box to plug into it aswell.
Does anyone own one at all?

Sony's are usually superb on SD and HD, I wouldn't recommend a Philips as they have a bad reputation for reliabilty.

But, as always, go and look at sets in the shops, and make YOUR mind up.
