What tends to happen?

I would reckon that it is enevitable that posting gets lighter but how light?

Are there people who post all through the year. I notice that the ER and the Leona thread are still going strong. Is that likely to continue and year on year are we going to have an increasing no of appreciation threads for acts from years gone by?

How long do you think you will continue posting until next year's auditions?

It would appear the Rhydian Appreciation thread has actually speeded up since the programme finished! Surely that is the fastest growing thread on the whole of DS...isn't it? It wasn't that long ago that it was trailing in the wake of the Leon Appreciation Thread and lok at the figures now!

Yeah....things do tend to wane. People will come back and look for mentions of news etc.

I don't tend to use DS that much at all. I check things and have the odd dip into Politics and General Discussion....maybe Books.

However, If AI is good this year.....that Forum gets used not too badly....but not like this one.

Looks like people do have lives outside of the XF!!

It's amazing isn't it?

I would be very suprised if it wasn't still going next year but I wonder how much action will be on it in a few months time? I suppose appearances, concerts albums etc will bring us all back to chatter but how much will there be inbetween (or maybe there will me no inbetween as he will be that busy )

The ER thread is a phenomenum too. I am suprised that the Shayne one isn't still active.

I wish the Suzanne thread was still active, but if she isn't then it can't be - of course that as PI on XF.

Did you post on the Soose thread? Some good laughs on there. Remember Toot Toot? And ShortySally and Wee_Ding_Dong...?

The Michelle and Soose dolls?

It's no-one's deathbed regret that they didn't spend more time on the housework.

Althougth probably not a regret for not spending more time on here either

I think that's a really interesting question! Sadly, I can't answer it from any personal experience of my own having only signed up here after seeing Rhydian on this year's show, but as ZipGypsy has said, I expect thing will tail off, though to what degree I am not sure.

This is an interesting forum in a way since I imagine generally that few people here post outside one or two of their favourite sections and never visit the rest of the forums.

Actually, not really the case. There are lots of people I see on here who do post outside the XF forum. They tend to be more familiar with the etiquette of the place and are less inclined to use , & .

Kiddin'.....a bit.

I think the Rhydian thread will almost definitely still be active this time next year. There's just too many of us just to disappear. Maybe the Leon one will still be around as well.

tbh, i think its a bit much to continue posting in the x forum after its finish, ironically im doing the same thing now, i know! unless you post in an appreciation thread religiously theres not much interesting topics to reply to as they are usually repetitive stuff being asked again & again.

i have a quick glance in this forum , but the politics section is far more interesting to me these days!

Oh I LOVED her. Where is it? Can we breathe life into it? Going into the live shows to pick the finalists I was backing Michelle (I had missed Soose's audition ) but I soon transferred to her. I was gutted hen she was booted out and even more gutted not to have heard of any CDs etc

After being voted off Pop Idol she joined BBC Radio Berkshire as a producer. She now features on the station as a presenter for The Session show, and also on the Andrew Peach breakfast show. In 2005 she married Andrew Courtney, former drummer of Pure Reason Revolution.

It will get quieter and quieter with only the appreciation threads being the most active really. There'll be a few odd threads though and discussions from time to time.

I think I may pop in there a bit more now. although current affairs that are not obviously political, with a captital P I find of more interest. I did start a thread to see how people thought that they would vote on the London Mayoral election which was quite interesting. I wonder how heated things will get when that gets underway. XF may be light relief. On the other hand maybe only Londoners give a damn (and not all of them )

The thread (I did look just there) cannot be accessed....archived, I think

Wee_Ding_Dong (who sometimes posts with us Leon Lovers) ADORED Soose. We had a great time on that thread. Soose wasn't my fave....(I liked Sam) but in them days, you could visit appreciation threads and have a laugh and a banter without dire consequences.

It is really, really odd that Soose never made any CDs. She had a really distinctive voice quality...hit a few bum notes and her confidence waned to and fro but she had lots of potential. She was also such an adorable person. Everybody loved Soose, even if they didn't like her voice

That is such a shame. I wonder if we could start it up again, even though this is Xfactor? XF is really just the new name for PI.

Sam as lovely too. That was such a great year!! Soose was way out in front for me but I also really really liked Sam, Roxanne and Chris. They overtook Michelle for me and I also had a soft spot for Mark. I don't think that that year there was one of them that I would have used them being on to put the kettle on.
