So what should Rhydian do next?

He's been very quiet since the final - there's been no major interview (Heat was before the final I think). Is this a good thing? Presumably, he is letting Leon have his glory and resting and working out his future.

But how long will it be before people forget him other than die hard fans? When is the best time to launch his career? I hope he's being well advised.

Also, what path should he take? I would love him to do an album of great covers with that special showman Rhydian spin. I thought his POTO was better than Michael Crawford's. I'm not too sure about his singing original material myself which hasn't R said he'd like to? Would also like to see him in a theatrical production of any sort. Bet he'd even make an interesting Joseph!!!!

Oh well, let's wait and see....

He shouldnt rush out an album. His fans are very dedicated so will be happy to wait for quality material. Before xmas he was signing lots of contracts so I'm sure we'll being seeing plenty of him during the year.

I think there have been no major interviews as this past week the emphasis had to be on Leon and his promotion to get the Christmas number one.

As far as we know Rhyd has been in discussions with Simon Cowell and Co and we believe that he has signed a contract although I wouldn't expect anything to be announced until the New Year so as not to detract from the winner.

His album is said to be mainly new material with a couple of covers .... and will not be going down the classical opera route. There could also be a duet with a "mega star".

He will be doing a few concert appearances in the new year before going on the x-factor tour and hopes to do his own solo tour later in the year.

He's going on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks with his family. Then when he gets back he has some solo gigs lined up before the XF tour gets under way. And he is also meant to singing before the Wales vs. Scotland rugby game in Feb. Once that is over he will get stuck into his album (says he wants to write some of it himself) and then his own solo tour. When that is done he may go and prepare for the new POTO show that's opening on Broadway.

So his year is pretty fully booked already.

Rhydian is with Sony and will be completeing an Album. He will be writting some of the songs as he i sa song writter too. He is going to the USA to create the Album which should be out in the summer.

He has a much more flexible contract which will permit him when required towork with ALW.

But none of this has been officially confirmed mita ... we know he will sign/or has signed with Simon but the rest is just hearsay at the moment

I think that Rhyd said there would be an announcement in the New Year, then things will be confirmed.

He is supposed to be duetting with a "mega star" on his album. We've been trying to work out who it is, don't know if we've sussed it yet...

If I was a betting man and the odds were attractive, I would be wagering a little on that happening.

I think so too. The musical theatre angle is a good pr story too. Streisand a seasoned pro and Rhyd new to the industry.

i don't usually tune in to the rugby games till kickoff but you can bet i will be looking forward to both the national anthems sung on this occasion....i don't think rhyd will be miming like shirley did.... they should both sound good on the pa at the ground.
