2005 - Had Bad Wolf/Rose
2006 - Had Torchwood
2007 - The Master/Harold Saxon

Any thoughts on what they'll have for 2008?

They normally have something in the Christmas Special

I thought (as mentioned in another thread) it *might* have something to do with Clive Swift's character?

Quote from RTD in Doctor Who Magazine:

"There is a slight continuous strand that I've got in mind for Series Four. In fact, it's mentioned fleetingly in the last couple of episodes of Series Three, tucked away in the way that Saxon was. But I'm not going to tell you what it is. It was something the Master said..."

Something about UNIT?

The Master mentioned the Doctor's love of Earth people and in the Christmas special wasn't there a mention about being stranded somewhere away from home once upon a time?

Is he going to be stranded on Earth again at the end of Series4? And the 3 'specials' in 2009 are concerned with him trying to get away?

Am I clutching at straws?

But if I'm right can I get some sort of prize?

rtd said it was something mentioned twice

now ive watched lottl countless times, anf the only enemy mentioned twice apart from the daleks - and we're all fed up of them - was the axons

We discovered that the Tardis will -em - gravitate to the nearest gravity source (hopefully habitable) if floating in space. Perhas the Doctor ends up on a different planet from the Tardis

The line from at the end of VOTD from Rickston Slade about having sold all his shares and put them into Max Capricorn's rival company struck me as kind of pointing towards something.

I could be completely wrong, but didnt I read somewhere that in series 4 the Doctor will have to face the consequances of his previous actions & he will see the efects of how he changes time/ect will come back to haunt him?

I've just re-watched it online and the only thing I noticed that was said twice was that there was 'an old tradition' - probably a complete red herring, but I watched it immediately after reading this thread for the first time so was specifically looking out for something repeated.

I wonder if the anagram of Rickston Slade

is actually Dalek scorns it

and it refers to davros

Seeing the two different race of daleks hate each other

If you're looking for the hints that RTD says he planted, he says they were in the last couple of episodes of the last series, not VOTD.

I think the recurring theme will be the showrunner/exec producer further imposing his half witted half written scripting and plotting and his pro-celeb JNT style casting across all 13 episodes and killing the show off so no-one else will want to make it...

I wonder if there's more to Mr Copper ending up on earth than we might have first thought. In effect the Doctor has changed time by leaving an alien (a failed salesman at that!)to live among us earthlings - could this have something to do with facing the consequences of his previous actions? I always thought that Hyacinth Bucket looked like a slitheeen too - and we never did see the Bucket..sorry Bouquet's.... mystery son!!

a bit off topic-but i just noticed in 'Rose'-apologies if this has been noticed before- that graffiti on the garage doors and walls etc throughout the episode are the same as little 'tags' that the daleks have under their eye stalks.

And Hyacinth's neighbour Emmet looks suspiciously like Lt. Commander Mitchell from The Sea Devils...

Onslough looks like Mr. Popplewick from Trial of a Timelord...

And Daisy looks like Maddy from Paradise Towers...
