Add 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker Package

I have an LG LCD TV

Currently I have Doovde and Sky normal connected via Scart, XBox 360 via Component.

since the speakers on the TV are so tinny, i'd like some better speakers. Nothing fancy is needed. I've got my Sky Box connected to the HiFi via phono leads which is ok for me, but would like better sound for the 360.

How would a "Mikomi 5.1 Theatre Speaker System" as sold in Argos connect to it all, i.e what kind of connector do those things have?

The Argos Website is lacking info.

Thanks

At less than £30 I wouldn't be expecting much. But like you I can't find any information relating to inputs. If you want a reasonable sounding set of speakers for your 360 or PC I'd be looking at the Logitech range, which at least support Dolby Digital.

You could just take the audio output leads from the sky box, put them in the back of the telly and have 2 channel stereo from your hi-fi. Will still sound good..........

If you're spending money on 5.1, spend a bit more

I did think of that, but I often use the Sky box as a radio to listen to Galaxy with the TV off.

What I've done for now is connected phono to 3.5mm socket lead to the back of the TV and connected some PC speakers to that - that way when watching TV or Doovde I'm getting it from HiFi at rear and Speakers at front without the need to use the tinny TV speakers, plus getting sound from the 360 on the ex-PC speakers.
