Hello, thanks for the reply. Can I ask how sharp/clear is the picture? Im a little worried that as its not a big brand name then the picture quality wont be good

Picture quality depends on what source you are watching from.

If it's from a DVD the quality should be excellent, if you are watching from Freeview it will depend on which channel you are watching as they broadcast with different bit rates (BBC will always be best.. ITV channels tend to be a bit pixelatted)

If you sit to close you will see any imperfections in the picture, I sit about 8 feet away from my 32" Orion LCD TV.

I've had an Acoustic Solutions 26inch HD Digital for about 6months and am very impressed with it for the price.

The picture is far better than ever expected.

The only criticism I would have is that the viewing angle is only 160 degrees but it's not a problem. Indeed if you look at a 26inch Sony that Argos have that's only 160 degrees as well.

Overall in comparison, good value for money.

I brought one of these on boxing day and have to say that I am very impressed with the quality for £300.

The basic 5 channels are not too clear but then thats probably due to my ariel. Sky, DVD's and Xbox look amazing on this TV. All pictures are crystal clear. I had to make a few changes to the settings from factory as the colors were a bit off but that is bound to happen with most new TVs.

The build quality seems really good to me. The Auto setup was fairly quick. The user menu seems a little sub standard but its quite a minor thing. The remote is quite nice and well laid out.

The only problem that I have with this TV at the moment is that I cannot get my Sky remote to control it I have spoken to the Argos helpline about it and they gave me 4 codes to try but none of them work.

Anyway my overall feeling of this TV is that I did well to this quality for £300.

It's nice to see no one has "Highjacked" this thread with response's like "Cheap cr*p" etc, what are the colour tone's on skin like? (Via a RGB scart feed, or better) as I have a bit of Samdung ruddish in the bedroom (Which I payed £500 for a little over 2 year's ago) that need's replaced due to horrific dot crawl, colour balance, smearing, the list go's on really! So a nice cheap & cheerful 26" to 32" for the bedroom would be a nice New Year's present! Thankx guy's for any help in advance.

I had the same problem with my new t.v. i.e. the Sky remote would not control the t.v. no matter which one of the manufacturer codes I used, no one ever tell's you that you have to use a reset code on the Sky remote, Enter the code 999 first then try the codes you have been given, odd's are one of them will now work!

I'm thinking of getting a new TV but the 'ghosting' has put me off a bit particularly when watching my standard Sky (football in particular).
Can anyone give me an honest opinion of how this looks on this TV as i've had a Panasonic Viera recommended to me but it's twice the price!!

@ 24_bauer_24 - No it was a standard Xbox via an RGB Scart feed.

@ FunkyFin2000 - No. I have tried 8 different codes, either from Sky themselves or the Argos helpline and none of them have worked. Even with the reset code as advised by Ghostleader.

@ Goldenone - I havent seen any form of ghosting whilst watching this TV. I dont watch football but I do watch a lot of films and the picture has been perfectly clear.

I bought a 32" as well, but I think there is 2 models, not sure if mine is same.
It came with a leaflet with the Sky remote code on it. Check your TV Manual.
I am at work at the mo so can't post it as I don't have it with me, but can on Monday.

EDIT

Also forgot to say, if it same model as mine I found the Engineering Menu.
It is vestle software, and LG Screen etc.

If you are bothered, it can be accessed via Menu, 4, 7, 2, 5

But it can damage your tv if you don't know what you are doing.

It's not the sky remote book, and I don't use Sky, the tv is in my room.
When unpacking the TV, there was a leaflet with the TV manual saying code for Sky.
Earliest I can post it is Monday. Off work thursday (funeral) and friday (driving re-test), and my net at home temp disabled since I started working not using much at home.

A quick look at Argos shows the TV I got to be model LCD32805HD, so probably requires a different code for it.
But the engineering menu should be same.
I will post code on Monday though incase it does work.

sounds like the equipment you are using has not had RGB switched on or not going to a RGB av socket on trlly

also some good screened scarts will help and fully pinned
