I have the same. I've also owned an ipod in the past, and I prefer my Creative ZVM.

I've got the Creative Zen (8GB) all the benefits of the old ZVM apart from capacity but in a much more pocketable size.

In our family I have got the Ipod Touch, my son has the Ipod Nano and daughter the Creative Zen stone.

I must admit I am very impressed with the Creative Zen product, it was so easy to set up.

I think they all have their strengths and weaknesses but the Creative Zen is very impressive.

My Creative Nomad Jukebox Xtra (30gb) is still going strong, and I've got a 1gb Stone which I love.

Was after the Zen Vision W, but economics won out and I ended up with a Grundig 2600, which is a great bit of kit but the Creative would win for me everytime.

I had a Creative Zen Touch from March 2005 until Boxing Day and it was so reliable, i needed to upgrade though and got an iPod as they are so shiny and i am a sucker for named brands!

No complaints about the Creative though.

Same here - liked the Zen, but fell for the charms of the other 'Touch'.

I have a Creative Zen Micro and I love it to bits. Will definitely stick to the Creative brand whenever I get a new mp3 player.

I hate Creative with a passion. I have a Zen Sleek which wouldn't work under Vista. After hours, and I mean hours of updating drivers, reading support forums, upgrading the firmware which also of course formatted the Zen, I have finally got a music player that Vista will recognise...now I have to go and re-sync my music.

Oh, and I have an X-Fi Extreme Music soundcard which crackles , apparently due to a timing incompatibility with Nvidia nForce4 mobos..and according to Creative forums that would be Nvidia's fault !

Think I'll buy an I-Pod !!

I tried to set up a Sony Walkman mp3 player a few months ago and had exactly the same problems and refuse to allow another one to grace my PC.

In the last week I have set up 2 Ipods and a Creative Zen and would not hesitate recommending either of the products.

I suppose all manufacturer's have bad ones, and we all remember our bad experiences.

Owned a Creative Zen Micro for ages and now my wife has bought me a Zen Vision W for Christmas. Both fantastic devices. Videos on the Vision are really good and can be put on TV with no probs. Great devices.

I have had my Zen Touch 20gb for nearly 3 years now & have never regretted buying it. When I have gone on long journeys should it be by coach / train / plane, that single charge gives me enough playback until I arrive at my destination, including Australia .

I prefer the zen over the dreaded ipod as it has no restrictions, it doesn't matter where the mp3 comes from, my zen will play it back in superb quality.

I think this year I will copy my mate & order a 60gb Zen W from ebay .

Creative kicks arse.

I've been through two micro's and now I'm on to a 60gb Vision M.

The first micro had a faulty jack, but I got it changed and the next one did me for a good 3 years til I dropped down the two flights of hard cold stone spiral stairs out of my flat..

I had a 60GB Zen M until sept 2007. But i had just too much music in the end so i turned over to the dark side and got the 160GB iPod Classic. Amazingly I only have 48GB left on it. I'll have to cut down, seriously.

Same here. I love my Touch. I'll be gutted when it gives up the ghost (no signs of that happening yet) but wouldn't hesitate to buy another Creative product. It's a tough, well made device that I've dropped loads of time and spilled a pint of water over and still it works perfectly with hardly a scratch on it. They're usually cheaper than the equivalent iPod too and not everyone and their dog has one.

I've got the Zen Vision M 60gb. It's fab but Creative bizarrely made their software much less user friendly than the software they packaged with my old mp3 player (Zen Sleek) which irritates me totally.

I refuse to succumb to the overhyped lure of ipods.

Use WMP then...?
I have a V+ and a 1st gen nano. Hate the creative. Terrible UI, slow, stupid joystick thingy, feels cheap, and freezes a lot, so i have to go and look for a paperclip to reset it!
