Timers remain in Scheduled Recordings

Hi,

I've been setting and maintaining my parents' 9200T for the last couple of years and yesterday I became the proud owner of a 9200TBX to replace my slow (but still lovely) old TiVo. The 9200TBX is complete with the latest software 1.00.20 (or whatever it's called).

As I'm used to fiddling with my parents' machine, setup was a breeze and I have elected to use auto padding rather than series links/AR and the like.

However, after my first day of recording I was shocked to see that some programmes which have already been recorded (and indeed some of which have been viewed and deleted) remain in the schedule (complete with dates/times in the past).

Upon further scrutiny, it would appear that these are programmes with the series link flag (ie EastEnders etc). All others have vanished from the list as expected.

Now, I don't have series link set - I use autopadding - so why are there programmes still in the list taking up valuable timer space? How can I get them to vanish automatically after the recording time has passed other than deleting them manually?

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Thank in advance,

Daz

There are known issues of the type you describe when using autopadding. These should be resolved with the Over The Air Download in mid January. If you use Accurate Recording / Series Link (Autopadding set to "on time") the recording schedule for Series Link programmes will correctly remain for 13 weeks after the last occurence as it continues to search for next in the series (whether it exists or not).
