Another new "hummy" user. I pressed the wrong remote button and went into instant recording. How do I cancel this whilst the recording is still ongoing?

Press STOP and delete it from the Playlist if it appears there after about 30 seconds.

you can press stop when there are two recordings ongoing knowing you will be offered the choice of which recording you want to stop.

The manual available online certainly mentions it.
