As we have about 4 years worth of camcorder tapes of the kids opening their Christmas presents,I've been thinking about getting a DVD recorder to make some movies.

I've seen some DVD recorders on the shopping channels that have built in menu templates as part of the DVD making process. What I would like to know is,are there any websites that show you screenshots of DVD menu's?

And can anybody recommend a DVD recorder that is simple to make DVD's?

My Panasonic has some but they are only basic, five colours. I doubt any compare to proper DVD burning software.

The simpler the better, add a hard drive more menus, add a freeview tuner and it gets even more complicated, relatively speaking.

I have to agree with stvn that if you want to make movies then using a PC is by far the best option. The stand alone DVD recorders are only designed to be used in a video system with a TV etc for recording broadcast material.
