Some Advise Please

I have receiver a Siemens Gigaset C460IP as a Christmas present. However, as a Vonage customer I understand that I cannot use it on their network.

Can the settings from the existing VOIP adapter be “hacked” and copied into the Siemens base? – or is it better to give up on Vonage and find a VOIP provider that I can use?

I don't believe it can be hacked and settings transferred over... Probably an idea to move to a open SIP network provider - You can transfer your number over to some too

Thanks for the reply - have you any thoughts on any particular provider?

Given the phone you have is SIP compliant and Vonage is a SIP provider, I can't see any reason why you can't use it so long as you can find the settings, although there does seem to be a restriction that Vonage only want their own units to be connected and reading articles online I think you're going to have problems.
